We rolled into town after a glorious, arduous seven hour drive from Cachi on Ruta 40. As is the case in many small Argentine towns, street signs are at a premium so it was a bit difficult to find the hotel. We were making a circular sort of route from Salta to Cachi to Cafayate to Purmamarca and from there a drive over the Andes into the Atacama Desert. While the wine resort was perfectly lovely and serene with grand wine vistas, the place was our least favorite of the four, the others being the House of Jasmines, Alto, and Silencio.
The room was a trad small, as was the bath. There is nothing wrong with the place at all, it just suffered by comparison. Sadly, we had little time in Cafayate so there was no chance to compare this place with others. The drive there, however, is remarkable.
