Just as friendly as last time we stayed. I just wish all establishments were as helpful and friendly. The breakfast was stunning. We stayed here on our way back down from a 16 day trip around Scotland and this was the best breakfast by far, a great way to start the day.

If you want to fish the river annan,let stevie arrange it for you. Hes a great guy,good laugh and hes a good cook as well. I stayed with my brother for a weekend fishing trip and we were made very welcome. We will definately be back next year.Stevie arranged everything for us, the breakfast and evenng meals are really good.

We stayed here for a few days and found it to we a wonderful relaxing place. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for us the weather was raining most of the time but our stay in the hotel was warm and cosy. Our room was quite spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was always a treat and a good start to the day.The hotel has several different spaces, there is the bar which is frequented by locals, where there was a good choice of meals and a friendly atmosphere. There was also a lounge area and a conservatory area for lunch. The hotel is not in a town but is set in the beautiful countryside and is very peaceful. The Hotel is not far from the town of Lockerbie .. where the people are friendly and ready for a chat.

We arrived quite late and Steve the owner welcomed us warmly. The room was spotlessly clean, it was large and has a large ensuite. The bed was comfortable and the room warm. Additional heating was provided in the room but not needed as the radiator was sufficient. The bathroom has a heated towel rail so lovely and warm too. We found Steve and the local people in the hotel bar to be very friendly and included us in their conversations and we had a very enjoyable evening there. Breakfast was very good, very good quality food and lots of it! We declined Steve's offer of seconds! Service excellent we will definitely use this little hotel again on our trips to Scotland, either for a passing night or longer
