Well located near the excellent Ranomafana reserve on the main road through the park. It's location is in a wooded ravine on a bend of the road, and the rooms are individual chalets scattered up and down a very steep slope, many of them far from the restaurant/reception. My room was 175 steps up from there, and it wasn't the furthest. There is help with luggage, but you still have to get yourself there after dinner....
The restaurant was adequate and catered for early breakfasts (5am) OK. Highly recommended to order dinner at least 1 hour in advance. The cooking is OK, and often features the local crayfish. There is a separate poolside bar and snack place by the swimming pool, which is nice, but the pool is a bit of an acquired taste - not the cleanest I have been in.
Service was mixed - several very helpful people, some very obstructive, good room cleaning and laundry. The place has been pretty much completely rebuilt over the past few years, so some earlier reviews may reflect this - all the redevelopment work is now complete.
