Any decent safe place in Caracas costs an a and a leg. I got an online 40% off discount so hunt for one. The plumbing fixtures were broken so check your room before you unpack as discounted rooms seem to need maintenance

This hotel is ok. The service is friendly but ok. It's in a relatively safe neighborhood with lot's of cafes and interesting places to walk. The breakfast is ok. The rooms are ok. The gym is ok. The internet speed is ok. Do watch out for the $50 buffet dinner, which does not include drinks: Order a la carte for sure. I'd stay here again because everything was ok.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and most could speak english very well. The rooms were clean, Lobby and Roof top Terrace are really nice.

The one thing I noticed was the door to my room stayed open if I didn't pay attention and pull it tight behind me. Not a big deal just something to keep in mind when you leave your room.

I'd stay there again!

As everything, staying at the Pestana has its pros and cons.

Starting with the good things it is a full service hotel and you can get toothpaste if you ask for it, someone will answer your questions in a friendly and informed manner and you get a miniature chocolate bar every night. Furthermore on the roof there is a very nice poolbar with a spectacular view and signature drinks.

However: It seems like someone forgot to sign the maintenance contract - a lot of basic and small things seems used beyond normal life time, a little bit broken etc. This makes the hotel seem a lot older than what it is. The non included breakfast is USD 32 + VAT, which does not seem reasonable for what you get. And to check out there was a 20 minutes+ waiting time with one employee attending noone and everone in the morning rush.
