“First class food.”

We were delighted with our room, wonderful views of the estuary, with its amazing bird life, from three windows, beautifully comfortable bed and a huge ensuite with bath and shower.
The dining room and breakfast room were very attractive and stylish.
Our hosts were most obliging and attentive.
Adam, the Chef, produced an impressive range of high quality meals, most appealingly presented, without being pretentious.
The puddings deserve a special mention - the espresso creme brulee was out of this world!
The breakfast menu was vast enough to please everybody's taste.
We had a wonderful time.

Room Tip: Room 6 has wonderful views of the estuary and a splendid bathroom!

“Lovely friendly place to stay with stunning views”

Just returned from the Webley. Stayed for one night but visited many local places. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay pleasurable. Unfortunately we were not able to have a view of the estuary as all the rooms were booked but we only had to walk across the road and enjoy the view. Comfortable room and a lovely breakfast. Hope to return again soon.

“Saved our family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Saved our family holiday having be let down by the condition of the caravan we'd booked. Relied on a family member to find alternative accommodation in the area as we had a very poor signal on our mobile phone. Sandra (one of the owners) was able to give one of the apartments for the night which was impressive in both size and quality. The next day after a superb breakfast at the hotel, we were offered hire of the six berth caravan. The caravan was clean, serviced and was ideal for a family of four. The views were stunning and the location a good base for exploring the Cardigan coast. The food in the bar of the hotel was excellent, only to be supported by a subsequent visit a week later with my parents, children and nephew. The hotel staff could not do enough to make our stay a happy one. My husband was familiar with the area but had not been there for over twenty years, however the location of the Webley, the service by all the staff and the holiday provided will ensure that we will try and book next year.

“Very friendly and helpful”

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff went out of their way to provide us with a very early breakfast on our day of departure. The room was immaculate though window locks need looking at and the use of the TV made more simple. Great location and beautiful views from the hotel. Perhaps the outside of the hotel would benefit from a freshen up.

“Fantastic service”

We booked the Gwesty r Webley very last minute, and when we arrived there was a bit of confusion about our booking. I guess they just hadn't updated their books yet! After that was settled, everyone was spectacularly nice and the young man behind the bar showed us to our room. The room was updated, if a little odd, with a view of the caravan park behind the hotel. The shower was huge, and had plenty of hot water once you let it heat up. The bed was extremely comfortable and modern, and I had no complaints.

The real reason to stay here is, of course, the proximity to the beach. One five minute walk and you're at the poppit sands beach, filled with friendly families and their dogs. One other highlight of this hotel is the pub downstairs. While we were there, they were undergoing changes in their menu/restaurant. The first night, we had a great pub meal, but the second night the menu had changed to offer more "classy" options. And by classy, I mean more expensive and smaller. They should probably stick with a pub identity.

Great selection of local cider (I'm once again going to pimp for Gwynty Y Ddraig cider, it's literally the best I've ever had) and beer, and there's a pool table in the back room, which I dominated continuously. Boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay, including the breakfast, which was basically anything we requested! They even arranged a taxi for us to get back to Cardigan early in the morning. I would most definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a waterfront view
