Having done the Land's End to John o'Groats 24-hour run on motorcycles, my husband and I took a few days to explore the Scottish countryside, and made our way from John o'Groats to Ballachulish along the West Coast of Scotland. What an awesome destination and a welcome, very comfortable room awaited us.

David, the proprietor was there to meet us on arrival and showed us where to park our motorcycles.

Breakfast was a gastronomic delight, with the cooked breakfast setting us up for the long trip back home. The views are breathtaking, and overall, a wonderful experience.

We were here two nights as part of our honeymoon around Scotland, and would be happy to stay here again. The rooms are a little cramped, especially the en-suite bathroom, but the beds were extremely comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The couple are from the SE of England and are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were top class, the haggis being the highlight. The location is perfect for exploring the Glen Coe and Fort William area, although you will need to drive to find a restaurant or pub anywhere nearby, Ballachulish is fairly remote.

We really enjoyed our stay here. They were by far the most comfortable beds on our trip. The owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions. And the breakfast was delicious!

We were driving from Glasgow to Skye and Ballachulish was a convenient place to break our journey, although it is a nice little village in a great spot. Fern Villas is a few hundred yards from the main road. The room was warm and we had a good nights sleep, followed by a freshly cooked breakfast.
