I have stayed on a few occasions at this Hotel due to the location of a client nearby and I have always found staff friendly and accommodating. The separate bar is always able to hold keys if you are arriving late at night which is really handy for me. Rooms are always clean and tidy however the hotel could do with a makeover. Breakfast on the whole have been good except for one occasion when it was cold.

We stayed overnight after attending a party a short walk away and found it more than adequate. Big carpark, good location, friendly staff and very good breakfast - fresh raspberies, strawberries and blue berries (and tinned grapefruit). I'm vegetarian so enjoyed the fresh fruit and then had mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans. I'm fairly confident if I'd given notice they'd have got some veggie sausges for me. Coffee was reasonable and the waitress happily heated up some mlk. My partner had kippers rather than the full English and we both declined cereal. Limited choice of fruit juice - in fact there was just orange! And toast too of course.

Room was small but fine. Beds were comfortable and an effort had been made with throws and scatter cushons. Bathroom was small and needed some minor repairs and decorating - but again more than adequate with plenty of hot water and functioning bits and pieces! Tea, coffee and little pots of milk in the room with sensible mugs rather than small cups - hot chocolate, decaff or herbal bags would have been nice but we didn't really expect them.

Quite happy with the place. Well worth the £50 we paid.

Friendly, helpful, efficient Receptionist was also the breakfast cook (very busy lady). Cooked Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared with plenty of choice (possibly the best hotel breakfast I have ever had) unfortunately served in the function room seperated from the bar (but not the smell of it) by a twiggy room divider. Bedroom was basic. Bedroom carpet old and would possibly benefit from a good shampooing. Hotel was crying out for an update.

We stopped over for one night in September while on a sponsored cycle ride from Milton Keynes to Market Harborough and back again.

Key thing we were looking for was a reasonably priced but clean hotel and Copperfield was spot on. Rooms were a little small but absolutely fine for one or two nights. Beds very comfortable with nice pillows and bed linen.

Ensuite fine although the bath was probably 3/4 length so not enough room to stretch out.

Breakfast pretty good too. 5 to 10min stroll into town where there are quite a few restaurants.

Very pleasant staff throughout.
