“just a pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2009

had a really warm welcome after being recommended this accommodation by friends. Patricia was the perfect hostess and the lovely westies were not far behind. All needs are more than adequately met by this accommodation and it's location.
Patricia gives you plenty of recommendations in regards as to where to eat, do follow her advice and book early.
We did leave early due to the poor weather however this was no reflection on the hospitality or accommodation.

“Home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2009

We are regular visitors to the White Hart and have always been impressed with the cleanliness, the ambiance and the sheer classiness of the accommodation. The fact that Patricia had a bad review posted here due to the lack of weekly parking permits in Padstow is just plain unfair. We use Padstow as a base to travel around the whole county and to me, returning to the White Hart each day is like coming 'home from home'.

“A peaceful,tranquill haven.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2009

Disregard the "hostile welcome" review ! PLEASE.
Our welcome could not have been warmer or more helpful.
Staying in the Garden room for 3 nights, we had a wonderful time here.
Spotless, comfortable room & bathroom, with all conveniences. And breakfast in the ajoining conservatory was an absolute joy each morning, beautifully cooked on Patricia's Aga & served as if we were in a high-end restaurant.
The ambience of the lovely, tranquill courtyard garden only added to the charm of the whole experience.
Pat was always more than happy to answer any & all questions we had, and as a result, helped us enjoy our time there all the more.
When you step out of the front door onto New Street, you are literally a few more steps away from all of the joys & pleasures that the charming town of Padstow has to offer the visitor. And there are many.
We certainly look forward to visiting this beautiful Grade2 listed building again, & enjoying the fantastic hospitality of this lovey lady. :-)

“Beautiful and near the harbour.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2008

Stayed in a self catering apartment for a couple of days, I love Padstow and found this accommodation to be perfect for us, the Listed building was originally a coaching In and is situated near the harbour, plenty of great pubs and places to eat around the area, we all thought it was great and will be back.

  • Liked — The situation

“The White Hart is wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2007

I returned to The White Hart this October after 2 years and it was as every bit as wonderful this time round as it was the first. It is an extremely professional set-up: beautifully furnished and an idyllic setting. Patricia Jacoby Blake runs a tight ship and to a very high standard. I find it a real haven away from the hell that is London! If you stay in the Garden Room you get to have Patsy's wonderful breakfasts which keep you going right through to supper time!

I have read the review entitled 'ghastly' - please do not let it put you off. I cannot, in any way , understand how that situation arose and I find it impossible to believe that Patsy would react like that. Anyone who has visited or done their research on the North Cornish coastline would know that the towns are extremely difficult for the elderly and infirm to negotiate. Equally, parking has always been difficult as councils have to deal with congestion and the needs of full-time residents.

Go to The White Hart - it's heaven!!

  • Liked — It's very relaxed, peaceful and pretty and yet bang in the centre of Padstow!
  • Disliked — N/A
