Perfect location, lovely welcome, and no TV or mobile reception - what a treat. in the evening when the walkers dissipate, I had my first proper experience of "quiet" With nothing but the distant sound of river water, it was probably the most peaceful place I have ever been.

This is a great place to spend the night on the Coast to Coast walk. The rooms are comfortable, and traditional in style. There is a peaceful lounge to relax in, and no TV - perfect. The breakfast is lovely, and they offer a good packed lunch too. The Flock Inn tearoom is part of the farm, and serves tea and delicious fat free (!!) cake, as well as light lunches and other snacks. For evening meals there is the nearby Riverside Bar at the Scafell Hotel.

The Flock Inn tea shop was really great, especially after a day walking. The B&B just across the path was also fabulous. The room was really lovely and quiet, warm and with great en-suite facilites. Breakfast the next morning could not have been better, we were treated like 5-star guests! We would definately stay again and take family or friends.

Well organised farm B&B with very good breakfasts and substantial packed lunches. The farm tea shop is across the lane. The bedrooms are very clean and fitted with traditional furniture. The views across Borrowdale are suberb. For a true taste of the Lake District it's difficult to beat.
