Very friendly staff. The hotel was comfortable and clean. Large bathroom. It is very central so we could walk to all the sights easily. We had a room overlooking the main square which was interesting, but was loud at night, especially the nightclub which seemed to stay open until at least 3am. If noise bothers you, suggest ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Breafast was good, although choice a bit limited. Free wifi. Lots to see in Fribourg - old town and cathedral wher the stained glass is spectacular. Apparently there was garaged parking close to the hotel, but I couldn'd find if so I parked in the public parking in the square overlooked by the hotel, which was fine and you can but a 24 hr ticket from reception.

This hotel is in an excellent location, in the old town, and only about 10 minutes walk from the station (but best to get a bus to the station as it's up a long hill - only takes about 5 minutes). It was spotlessly clean and the room was nicely decorated in a clean, modern way. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the soundproofing was fantastic - I didn't hear anything at all from above, below or the next room: very unusual! However, despite the double glazing, the bells of the nearby cathedral are quite loud so you might need earplugs.

The staff were lovely - really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also very nice with lots of choice. Overall, highly recommended as a reasonably-priced hotel in a pretty town.

PS - I recommend the nearby restaurant, Bindella's (in Rue de Lausanne). It's Itallian (but not pizza/pasta - more upmarket), not particularly cheap but absolutely wonderful: delicious food, excellent service, lovely surroundings.

Lovely, comfortable room, although it overlooked some kind of inner courtyard, so it felt pretty dark most of the time. Breakfast OK, although needed re-stocking more efficiently.

The lady on reception was fantastically helpful; we started to worry that she never slept, as she seemed to be on duty afternoon, late night and early next morning.
Resaturant was closed for annual holiday, but plenty of other places to eat within walking distance.

Catch the market by the Town Hall on Saturday morning - lots of lovely produce and cakes!

We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel. I would recommend it if you like to be in the centre of town. Our room was lovely, on the third floor with a view out onto the square. We had a corner room so from the bathroom you could see the stunning cathedral. The room was double glazed so there was no noise at all from the street. The bed was lovely and comfortable, fantastic flat screen tv with english channels - heaven.

The bathroom was outstanding, full size bath, power shower and plenty of fluffy towels. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The highlight of the stay was the staff. The reception girls could not have been more helpful, recommending fantastic eating places off the beaten track. Unfortunately when we stayed the restaurant was closed for holidays but there are so many wonderful places to eat in Fribourg it was not a problem.

After a dreadful stay in Gruyeres (see my other review) I was so happy to stay in such a clean, friendly, modern hotel. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.
