I was a bit worried when arriving at the hotel, but we had come through the back streets... it is situated virtually 5 minutes walk from the Dali museum!
We had 2 rooms side by side, both had double doors, like an entry vestibule. The hotel is a little "old style" but very clean & comfortable, the breakfast was good value. WiFi was $2 for 24hours.
We arrived on a Sunday & a lot of things were closed, except the museum.
We actually found an English speaking channel on TV so we could watch the Tour de France.
Be aware there are 2 train stations... we went to the one we arrived at (which is a taxi ride out of town) when we were leaving for Barcelona only to discover we should have been at the one in the centre of town.. we missed the train.
We did a day trip to Cadaques on the local bus..... 1 1/2 hours, very interesting trip through Roses, the last 10 -15 klms up & over the hills & then down into Cadaques... a beautiful little town all painted white. Don't miss it!!!

A pleasant, clean hotel within 5 minutes walk of the town centre and the museums. Decor was perhaps a bit dated but then you are only sleeping here. Huge bathroom but again a bit dated. Garage parking is ultra limited, about 6 cars, so book if you want one. There is effectively no street parking except for loading and unloading and the free car parking is about 200 mts away. Breakfast wasn't expensive, basic, but being a buffet was there was sufficient to choose from. We would stay here again.

Cheap and good location. Don't expect to be romanced by your room and you will be fine. Our room was for four people and we could barely walk between the beds, but at about 60 euros for four we could hardly complain. Staff were pretty grumpy but we didnt care. Best showerhead of the trip!! Good tapas place 'Cerveseria Venecia' (?) at bottom of the street (carrer Barcelona) turn left and first right. Also visit San Ferran Castell.

Price very good; room hold but with tv lcd; receptionists very cordial and smiling. They don't have the magnetic key...and probably you can listen when other guests turn the key! Anyway I suggest it to other traveler. Pay attention to the prices about the restaurant agreement Los Angeles (that is near the hotel)
