“overcrowded little spa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The hotel offers a spa service but it was overcrowded with guests, i suppose that the bookings were not done correctly by the spa staff member.
Also, the layout of the hotel is such that access between the rooms and the hotel’s facilities is mostly a tediously long hike.
There was a large training convention going on during our stay, which i think most guests like me did not felt comfortable with. It would have been better if the entire hotel had been reserved for the convention.

“Good value for its location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This hotel is in a quiet area and the walk to the town is easy, though its about 15 minutes away. The views are excellent and the hotel includes enough facilities to make it a good destination for a fortnight. The rooms are spacious and the buffet breakfast excellent but can be a bit of a bun fight during busy periods!

Room Tip: As its all sea facing all rooms get a view but some can be quite a walk away so if mobility is a pro...

“If want a clean hotel....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

We visited this hotel recently and was very impressed with the cleanliness. It seems a strange highlight but, compared to many places we've stayed, it was spotless.
All the rooms have a seaview and all are generously proportioned... and clean.
Only the promenade walkway separates the hotel from the beach.
But it a long way from the town and any restaurants or bars.
We stayed half-board and were disappointed with the quality and variety of dishes on offer at dinner.
We didn't feel that the hotel was interested in package holiday tourists, their more traditional attitude seems more aimed at the older independent traveller.
But, boy, was it clean. And no nasty drain or dustbin smells anywhere on the site.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

Stayed here in December 2011 for pre Xmas visit and found it very hard to find any negatives at all!
All staff were excellent, the rooms were superb with superb views, the breakfasts excellent and all this for a bargain price from monarch holidays.
We have stayed in a couple of Fuengirola hotels but not as good as this.

I would suspect that in the summer it may be a different story as it is so large and would be a bit noisier with lots more people.

My only minor gripe is that the dividing walls seem to be very thin and any noises can be heard from next door.

Stayed here in September 2011 - beautiful hotel but very difficult to find your away around - a map would be good!! Stayed HB - breakfast was very good but was very disappointed with the evening meal - not a great selection food only half cooked and believe or not we never once got chips the 7 days we were there!! Lovely location looking over the beach with access onto the prom. Quite a walk to Fuengirola along the beach front. Only discovered on the 2nd last night that there was entertainment on in the basement. Took a day trip to Morroco (brillant) but had arranged for packed breakfasts to be ready (an early start!) when we went to reception there was no breakfasts they had sent them up the day before. Would stay again if I got the right price but only on a B& B bases the problem is no resturants that close by. The pool bar does do toasties etc. just ask for the snack menu instead of the 'posh' one on the tables.
