we stayed here after boking on the internet, after booking we heard so many bad reviews about noise outside the hotel we were apprehensive especially with a young baby.
We were very surprised with the hotel, we were on the 5 floor, room 508. fabulous roon, very clean and serviced regularly, the room overlooked the marina and the pool.
very quiet and no complaints.
The only complaint was with the breakfast, coffee out of machines was terrible and the orange juice was diluted, not nice !
felt I had to write this review as there is so much negativity about the hotel.
Ask for a room overlooking the pool and you are away from the street and pubs.

worst holiday i have ever had..just came home last night couldnt wait to leave my comments..hotel clean but thats the only good thing about this hotel..food worse i have ever had(and i eat anything)no entertainment although i was told there was,and as i was with people with walking difficulties we couoldnt really go anywhere else.staff very unfriendly.never AGAIN

the foyer was the best bit of the holiday.
the staff were surly and it took them all their time to respond to you speaking only when spoken to.
food was at best luke warm. Than goodness there was a microwave.
rooms clean,beds changed regalarly room well tended no complaints in that department.
Fuengerola a bit tired London pub on our doorstep what a racket until 5/6am open all night.
pool far to small for size of hotel pool paintwork half done.
very good and reasonable train service.
all in all ,not an experiance to be repeated

This is classed as a 4 star hotel but I would suggest closer to 3. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Ask for a room overlooking the pool as there is a nightclub on the other side which only opens at midnight and closes at 06:00am and can be a bit noisy to say the least. It is nicely located beside the harbour which is also a bonus.

The swimming pool doesn't open until 10:00am and is on the 5th floor so there is never usually any bother in getting a good comfy sunbed. Pool bar is a bit expensive(2 euros for a small glass of fanta and 3euros for a large local beer) but this should improve with the currency rate rising.

The hotel is very central and very handy for the numerous good restaurants found in fish alley just 100m along the road.

The looky looky men can be a bit of a pain during meals(we counted 24 interuptions during one meal) but a shake of the head soon gets rid of them. Some are quite good characters and part of the scenery.

Some good bars in the area including the Toucan which is just 50m down the road at the start of fish alley where you can get a good pint in a unique pub, The place has every Guinness article ever sold, printed or made. Also, the Back to Front bar just off the main drag between the beach and the restaurant is friendly and handy. The Blue Anchor along by the Hotel Angela is also worth a visit.

Bar prices vary a bit with a large smirnoff and sprite at 5 euros and the local beer varying from 2 euros to 3.5 euros.
