“It won't disappoint........”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Despite living on the coast for over 8 years, we only visited Casa Rustica for the first time this weekend. As it's winter we sat inside and it was warm, friendly and comfortable. The spanish waitress spoke sufficient english and she had a smile and little joke for everyone. The food was excellent - delicious mussels in a seafood sauce to die for, scrambled eggs with prawns (obviously cooked to order as we asked for them without the usual addition of spanish ham), gratinated baked avocado and prawns (lovely for a winters eve), a fillet steak cooked to perfection and every morsel devoured, salt cod in tomato sauce. Hearty spanish home cooking with generous portions. No it's not super cheap, but it's value for money in relation to the quality. Well worth a visit.

“Great but pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

Nice restaurant, the food is good but way overpriced for this area, should have opted for the menu del dia! I dont mind paying for quality but the food was no better than other places we ate in, Would highly recommend Moochers jazz cafe around the corner, Better food, quality and service and great atmosphere with the live entertainment.

Great food, good service & kid friendly. Would rate it in the top 10 on the coast. Try the leg of lamb, superb!!! Fish dishes are very good also. No kids menu though...

“Gem of a Restaurant”

Just a few meters off Fish Alley, this family run restaurant has to be one of the best value places I’ve been to.

The food is wonderful, the staff friendly and attentive and the atmosphere typically Spanish.

The menu of the day is unbelievable value with the Lamb Chops being my personal favourite!

Highly recommended.

“A cut above anything else we've tried down fish alley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

What a find! The first thing that strikes you about this restaurant is that the staff are smartly dressed and look professional. Inside there is a lovely atrium at the rear of the restaurant which was both clean and airy, with the tables well spaced out.

At 11 Euros the set menu is a bit dearer than many of the other establishments along fish alley, but it was worth every cent. The avocado with prawn and asparagus soup starters were both excellent, the lamb chops exquisite and the house wine far better than many other local restaurants.

Will we be going back? You bet!
