I cannot recommend this stunning rural retreat highly enough. The location is beyond beautiful, the apartments are spacious, amply furnished with everything you could need either there or arranged wherever possible due to the nicest hosts imaginable.

They are brilliantly informed about local amenities, wonderful off the beaten track places to visit and great eateries.

We will return again and again as long as they will have us and recommend them to everyone all the time.

We were given a very warm welcome by the owners Roger & Diana Birch who had been very helpful with advice for local activities during the phone call to book the apartment. The accommodation was clean, well equipped and had everything we required. There was ample hot water for the 3 of us. Especially loved the covered terrace at the back of the apartment to relax and read. The pool was a welcome release from the scorching sun and the elevated sun terrace had loungers, table and chairs and a retractable awning to give protection should you want it from the sun. The views from the property were beautiful. Fields of olive trees with mountain backdrops. We also made friends with the owners dogs who were friendly little things. The accommodation was very good value for money.
The town of Cazorla was a 5 minute drive away and was a typical Spanish Pueblo. There was a large Mercadona(supermarket) so we could stock up on supplies. There were many tapas bars and a restaurants. We ate in Don Chema which specialised in Deer, Wild Boar and other meats local to the area. The food was delicious and not too expensive. We did not meet any other English people during our visit to the area, which was a nice change as we live in a very English part of Spain.
We were visiting the area specifically to do some activities. We prebooked (with the company that Roger had advised, Terra Adventura) Canyon Descending, Rock Climbing, Abseiling and Zip wiring. All the activities were fantastic and very good value for money. The days were well organised with all the equipment provided.
We are definately coming back to Cazorla and to Los Abedules next April/May to do White Water Cayaking when the rivers are higher and we can´t wait.

Diana and Roger Birch were foremost wonderful hosts. Their knowledge of the area helped us immensely. The Sierra de Cazorla was exceptional and my favourite memory will be swimming in clear mountain rockpools underneath cascading waterfalls. The teenagers were also able to persue exciting activities such as Gorge Descenting. Cazorla was just 10 minutes drive from the farmhouse and offered excellent, very reasonably priced wonderful Spanish food. Cazorla is a very old and pretty town (there is an inscription in one of the squares on the fountains dated 1605) with lots to explore and admire. Diana also provided relaxing therapies which were very beneficial. Overall we had a truly relaxing holiday and experienced a taste of real Spain.

Just returned after spending a few days with my wife at this most pleasant accommodation just outside Cazorles.
The owners from UK, Roger and Di Birch are wonderful hosts and the apartments are attractively furnished with all equipment needed for a quiet and relaxing stay. The courtyard garden is a beautiful shady spot for those hot sunny days and this together with the swimming pool and secluded sun-bathing deck makes for a real "switch-off" stay.
The National Park by Cazorles is spectactular and only a few minutes by car from Los Abedules. A car is essential to explore the area.
