“A gem in the midlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

This is a top class place to stay. The lady on reception when we booked in was excellent, Very friendly, efficient, and deffinately creates the right first impressions. Always sets the tone for a stay. Great food in the bar, and huge helpings. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent. One of the few places we have stayed that we could not find even the slightest fault with.
Many Thanks
James &Mary Hannon

Very pretty hotel with great rooms and only an hour from Dublin.

Purchased through bookings.com at a special rate. We wish that we had more time and stayed longer.

“Best in midlands”

I arrived at annebrook to a warm welcome on a cold rainy Friday with my partner, we decided a break away was in order. The hotel seamed to be quite busy for early nov. We were processed promptly and warmly and directed to our room by a lovely girl with long brown hair ( her name escapes me any way a credit to the staff) the room was fine and what you would expect from a 4 star, we were recomended the old house restaurant so that's where we we went! we arrived with no reservation and were greeted as if we were regulars, a lovely waitress called sinead looked after us. The food was of top standard, the best we've had, scallop starter was the like you would find at Michelin level. My partner had the brill main and I the lamb, both fabulous and with rfee veg sides!!! we had a creme brûlée tofinish between us on the waitress's recommendation, beautiful and novel. We retreated to berty's bar for some great live music and retired in the wee hours. Embarrassed th say we slept out breakfast only to be told they served until 12 in the bar!!! The only thing we didn't enjoy was the drive home to longford. Will be back no doubt.

“Very friendly, good food and room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

This was an overnight stop enroute from Dublin to the West; we don't do late night driving in rain anymore! We had booked the accomodation on the Internet at a good rate and requested a quiet room but on arrival told there was a wedding (Thursday night). Receptionist bthen toild us she had put us in a 2 bed suite at the far end of the hotel - the furthest possible place for noise and we heard none. (Notiung other guest comments it was a bit of a treck which involved using the disabled lift (if we did not want to go outside in the rain which we didn't.)

We ate in the restaurant which was excellent and enjoyed the company of a friendly and attentive server.

10/10
