My husband and myself stayed overnight in Gleeson's Townhouse Roscommon as we were attending a family gathering. The place itself is very nice and cosy with an open fire in the reception area. We were shown to our room it was small but very nice recently refurbished, the bathroom had a shower w.c. etc and it also was in a very new condition.
We were delighted with the room and just left in our overnight bags and went off to attend the meal that was held in Gleeson's the food was good however as I am vegetarian nothing on the menu really suited, so I asked for something vegetarian I was given a veg stir fry that I could not eat as it was so spicey, everyone else was happy enough with their meal.
We went out to a pub next door and when we returned to our room at about 1-1.30am it was freezing, the bed although comfy was freezing. I checked the rad in the room and it did not appear to be on, however since it was so late we just went to bed almost fully clothed. I did not sleep very well as it was so cold so at around 8am I rang down to the reception to say that the heating was not on and was told that something would be done about it, but it was not so when we went down for breakfast I complained again and was told again that something would be done, but I said it was too late as we were checking out after breakfast, we were offered an apology and a small reduction, however I would have prefered to pay the full price and have a warm room.
The breakfast was very good with a great selection. Overall it was a nice place but it was unfortunate that the room we happed to get had no heating.

Located in centre of Town , with Customer & Resident car park, Rooms excellent, comfortable & clean, lovely coffee shop & Restaurant , but waiting service poor, waited a long time for staff to take order for meal, food was good

Location for Roscommon is fantastic, sat as it is right on the main square. Well run, with a great restaurant, it was a very comfortable place to stay in the heart of Ireland. The room was somewhat basic compared to other places I've stayed and could have been quieter. However, we left with great memories of our trip.

Stayed at Gleesons Townhouse last weekend and certainly was not disappointed. We were greeted by Eamonn and Mary and shown to our room - a lovely suite front of house. The room was extremely tastefully decorated, with some freshly baked cookies alongside the tea and coffee station. Lovely touch.

Gleeson’s clearly pride themselves on quality and it shows. All components of the breakfast were Irish, where possible local and tasted amazing. My partner indulged on the best full Irish I have ever seen. I was so disappointed that we could only stay one night as we were traveling on. I cannot pay a higher compliment to the Gleeson’s other than to say that true Irish hospitality shines through and I think there are a lot of business owners out there that could take example from Eamonn, Mary and their family. Genuine, quality hospitality and at a reasonable price. More people like you guys should be in this business.
