We stayed at Gisthaus Olgu in January 2012, it was very snowy and not a lot was open in Egilstadir. We paid 9000kr for a twin room with linen. It was clean, very comfortable, with tea and coffee provided. The room had a television and dvd player with shared bathroom facilities. The bathrooms were very big with good showers. Olga herself was a friendly hostess. Although she doesnt live at the guesthouse, she has a direct intercom through to her house if needed during the stay. Parking facilities available. Overall, a nice clean place to stay in a town which offers very little in the winter
