We were at the Kastenholz hotel for a 4 day break in january 2012 with friends.
It was the first time we stayed in this hotel. We chose this hotel for the pool and wellness area.
On arriving the woman at the lobby was very friendly to us, and told us all we needed to know at the time, breakfast and diner times, where we could find our rooms...
The rooms where very spacious, they where located in the older part of the hotel. They used to be a lot smaller, they turned 3 rooms into 2. Decoration was sober, but rooms very clean, wich is important to us.
When we where in the hotel, it was not crowded, must be the period of the year.
The pool was nice, and on day 2 we find out it had a jet-stream.
The wellness area was one floor down, and there where 3 sauna's, one of them fairly small.
No need to take towels to the pool or wellness, they are there, free of charge, a big bonus! The dressing gown is on your room on arrival.
Hotel Kastenholz is located in a small vilage called Wershofen, not much to do there, but an ideal place for walking. In the surrounding area there are a few nice places to visit.
The hotel has a large, on site car park.

We had half board, and the food was very nice.
Breakfast was buffet, and there was all you could wish for, even Champagne and real fresh fruit juice.
In the evening we had a 3 course meal, with a choise for the main course. Me and a friend also changed the dessert every evening to an ice-cream, free of charge!

We where happy we went to this hotel, and will go back.
