What a great way to spend our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Mike and Angie went out of their way to make it a very special occasion for us. The Bird Room was large and nicely decorated and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. We brought a telescope and we spent the evening stargazing. The remote location allows for excellent viewing with the dark sky and very little light pollution. Don't have your own telescope? No problem, Mike offered the use of one of theirs and was glad to spend time talking about astronomy and the things you can see in the night sky. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the wonderful breakfast the next morning. As others have written here, you will be hard pressed to find better food, service or hospitality anywhere in Southern Arizona.

the rooms and common rooms are beautifully decorated with all sorts of antiques. the view out the patio is spectacular. mike and angie are superb fun and interesting hosts. the breakfast was the best i think i have ever had. we are going back in november

Lots of things to do in the area. Two days was not enough time to see everything. The breakfasts were great and the rooms were comfortable. And Mike and Angie are great hosts. They do everything in their power to make their guests stay a memorable experience. We surely will be back and will recommend it to all of our friends.

Down By The River B & B is located in a quiet desert area. It is decorated very nicely and is very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely to die for. We were so full by the time we left each day that we didn't have to eat again until the next morning. There is so much to do in the area that we wish we could have stayed longer. Two days is not long enough. The hosts are friendly and willing to do almost anything for their guests. I would definitely recommend Down By The River to all of my friends...and in fact I have done just that.
