“Great stay - awesome bed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My husband & I stayed here Jan 29 - Jan 31st. Convenient loc / great views / mini balcony / separate vanity area from tub/shower toilet area. Awesome bed & bedding / bigger towels / good breakfast. Previous review said they ran out of food. They serve 7 - 10 a.m. fruit, cold cereal, various breads, bagels, english muffins, mini muffins, several juices, milk, hot eggs & sausage. We ate each morning @ 9:15 & they never ran out. Previous reviewer must have meant the hot items which is possible anywhere you stay, if you wait til the last 1/2hr to eat. There was hot items left even at 10 a.m. Staff is nice & helpful / exercise room if you need it / pool area looked great but not open yet due to it being January. We wouldn't hesitate on staying here again the next time we are in Prescott. I would recommend this hotel unless you need a flat screen tv. Ours was older but it was in color and it worked. Other guests including us looked to be around 45 + at the time we were there.

“Rooms are clean and outdated.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

The room was very clean and small with an old style tv. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. Wireless was free. The lobby was nice. We tried to eat at the free breakfast, but they had run out of food. (It was about 1/2 hour from the end time.) Staff was helpful. For the price, I would stay somewhere else.

“Forest Villas Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Hotel was easy to find, convenient location, and charming grounds. We spent four delightful evenings/nights at this wonderful hotel in November! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The fireplace was so charming on a cold, snowy winter night, with easy-listening music playing in public places throughout the hotel. Comfortable bed for a great night's sleep. Encourage everyone to stay here for a relaxing break from the everyday rush of life and a day of sightseeing. Enjoy!

“Not for Families”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Overall the hotel was old and cheap which isn't a huge deal but for the price I think you can find a better spot. The median age of guests was around 65.

The Bad: We requested rooms next to our friends and ended up on separate floors until we pushed the issue - still were several doors down from them.

The breakfast was blah - caned peaches, runny eggs, and a few bread options. It worked and got us fed, but no one enjoyed it.

The worse part was the customer service. On our last morning we were enjoying the lobby after breakfast, drinking coffee, and hanging out. We were talking, laughing, and having a good time. From across the room came a very loud "Shhhushh". I couldn't figure out what was going on so on our way back to our room I asked at the front desk. He rudely told us the kids were too loud. I'm NOT a mom who let's her kids run around crazy, I was seriously confused. If fact, we were laughing much louder than the kids. After a short conversation, because of how rude and disrespectful he was - I told him we would never come back and he said "fine by me". The MANAGER! I would never speak to a customer that way - ever. I should have know when they told us on the first day they only put families with kids on the first floor.

Last thought on this - I would have totally been fine if he had walked over to us and explained why he wanted us to quiet down. I don't think "shushing" someone from across the room is appropriate for a manager of a hotel chain.

Good - well, it was clean.

Summary - if you hate kids, want quiet, and like 1960's style ... this hotel is for you.

We would like to say that the hotel is not old and our regular guests are from all age groups and they enjoy staying at our hotel, the guest had an 80% discounted rate on a special promotin, may be, that is why they think we are cheap. the Mod was trying to get the childrens attention so he can ask them to slow down . This happened on Sun morning when we had a pianist playing for the guests in the lobby, and the children were out of control, usually we would not say anything, but after several complaints from other guests sitting in the lobby, wanting to enjoy the piano music, and this behavior from the children wenton for a while, that is when we asked the children if they can quiete down. A lot of our guests come on the weekend to enjoy listening to the pianist Sunday morning, I am not sure if the parents were aware that someone was palying the piano in the lobby. We were never rude, and we are sorry that it was interpreted that way.

my girlfriend and I had some business in prescott over the holidays and needed a place for a 3 day stay.what can I say, the room was clean, the common areas were pleasant and the room rate was fair.it's not a high end hotel but again it never advertised itself as one.the amenities were acceptable;it had free parking(both outside and under roof--take your pick);there was a free local paper each morning in the common area and they had a complementary breakfast each morning(toast, cereal mini muffins, etc.) nothing earth shattering but acceptable.
all-in-all a pleasant no hassle hotel. WE LIKED IT.

Room Tip: if you can;go during the week. very quiet
