Overall the hotel was old and cheap which isn't a huge deal but for the price I think you can find a better spot. The median age of guests was around 65.
The Bad: We requested rooms next to our friends and ended up on separate floors until we pushed the issue - still were several doors down from them.
The breakfast was blah - caned peaches, runny eggs, and a few bread options. It worked and got us fed, but no one enjoyed it.
The worse part was the customer service. On our last morning we were enjoying the lobby after breakfast, drinking coffee, and hanging out. We were talking, laughing, and having a good time. From across the room came a very loud "Shhhushh". I couldn't figure out what was going on so on our way back to our room I asked at the front desk. He rudely told us the kids were too loud. I'm NOT a mom who let's her kids run around crazy, I was seriously confused. If fact, we were laughing much louder than the kids. After a short conversation, because of how rude and disrespectful he was - I told him we would never come back and he said "fine by me". The MANAGER! I would never speak to a customer that way - ever. I should have know when they told us on the first day they only put families with kids on the first floor.
Last thought on this - I would have totally been fine if he had walked over to us and explained why he wanted us to quiet down. I don't think "shushing" someone from across the room is appropriate for a manager of a hotel chain.
Good - well, it was clean.
Summary - if you hate kids, want quiet, and like 1960's style ... this hotel is for you.

We would like to say that the hotel is not old and our regular guests are from all age groups and they enjoy staying at our hotel, the guest had an 80% discounted rate on a special promotin, may be, that is why they think we are cheap. the Mod was trying to get the childrens attention so he can ask them to slow down . This happened on Sun morning when we had a pianist playing for the guests in the lobby, and the children were out of control, usually we would not say anything, but after several complaints from other guests sitting in the lobby, wanting to enjoy the piano music, and this behavior from the children wenton for a while, that is when we asked the children if they can quiete down. A lot of our guests come on the weekend to enjoy listening to the pianist Sunday morning, I am not sure if the parents were aware that someone was palying the piano in the lobby. We were never rude, and we are sorry that it was interpreted that way.
