“Nice quiet getaway in the woods”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

We stayed here 3 nights, for a quick family getaway to get out of the heat in Phoenix. We were concerned that the cabin may be hot, but had fans inside which helped greatly and it was only somewhat hot the first night, the last 2 nights it was cool and rainy so we could leave the windows open. Our cabin was right next to the playground which was perfect for my 9 year old. No maid service and no air condition but it turned out quite nice anyways. There is a safeway a block away so we bought groceries and made our own food some nights. We went to the WME movie theatre in pinetop another night and the kids enjoyed the family aquatic pool in show low only $1.50 fee open from 1-5pm, although its about a 20 min drive from cabin. Red Robin about 5 min away, good pizza. Hon Dah casino about 10 min away. Went fishing one day. Cabins were clean and fully stocked. Would def visit again, although maybe in winter so we could actually use the fireplace!

“Lovely Cabin in the Woods”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2011

We really enjoyed our short get-a-way from the desert heat up to these cabins. The cabins were well equipped, very clean and in a quiet and peaceful setting in the woods. But they were also close to restaurant and grocery stores. One of the best features is that from the cabin you can easily walk to a 500 acre city park with lots of beautiful trails and a pretty lake (Woodland Lake Park).

The cabin owner is friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return to these cabins. However don't go here expecting daily maid service - these are housekeeping cabins. Also no phones and internet. This is a place to relax and get away.

“Hidden off the main drag, quiet, surrounded by trees and a real cabin feel.”

My husband, nephew and I stayed in Cabin #10. Kitchen is small but we used it to cook two meals plus invited friends for dinner who stayed in Cabin #16. We really liked that each cabin had enough space between them for privacy and solitude. Great location if you are going to do fishing up at Big Lake or any near Springerville & Greer.

“Friendly staff, very comfortable, beautiful surroundings.”

Wife and I stayed in a Master Spa Cabin for the night. The owner (I'm guessing that was him) was exteremely friendly and helpful. He even called movie phone for me to check what time a film was playing at the nearby theatre. Check-in was fast and easy.

The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The hot tub was large enough for 2 adults. Very impressed by the full kitchen; fridge, oven, microwave, plates, dinnerware, glasses, everything you need. Living room was very nice, you have the option of either a cabin with a natural gas or wood burning fireplace. We chose the latter, had a nice stack of firewood waiting for us on the patio. There's a cafe within walking distance, good food, but poor service and long wait in the morning. I would recommend the Denny's down the road instead.

A really nice romantic getway, love the surrounding nature. Would be great for families too. The kids I saw were having a blast. Also helps that Pinetop residents are among the nicest and friendliest people I've met in Arizona!

“Nice cabins just off the highway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

We stayed at one of the newer cabins, one bedroom with kitchen and whirlpool. It was clean and everything was fairly new. We did not have any issues with the whirlpool. There was a fireplace but we did not use it. The furniture was La-z-boy brand and comfortable. The television was hooked to satellite so we got good reception. We ate in most of the time, which saved us money and got us good food. The rooms were quiet, you could not hear vehicles on the highway. It is not a resort in the traditional sense, there is no spa or restaurant, only a collection of cabins. Still, it met our needs and we would go back.
