This hotel was a disappointment to say the least. So much so that we checked out 2 days early and didn't care about not getting a refund!! The service here was non-existant, especially in the bar. What was in the bar was a TV playing childrens' shows because there is a kids play room adjacent to the bar - and little kids in the bar. If you're looking for family friendly this may be the place for you, but that't not what is advertised. The best thing about the hotel is it's central location and views of the lake.

The location of the hotel is very central, other than that this is 3 star hotel, if not less. The rooms are very small, and so is the bathroom.
In our room the seat of the lavatory was borke and lookd like 20 yesrs old.
Once you make check-in, they charge you for the full stay, just to make sure you will not run away, when you will see the room

This hotel was surprisingly good for the price. Small but comfortable room. One big negative - the lobby is a smoking area, which was disgusting.

The lobby is very attractive, but the rooms are quite small with minimal space to put your things and our room smelled like saltwater.
We had a rental car reservation at the airport which is 20 minutes away for when we departed the Kenton. Upon checkout, we were informed that all buses, taxis, and hired cars were on strike due to a shooting of one of the drivers. I asked the person checking us out what his suggestion was for how to get to the airport and his response was, "I don't have one." Luckily there was a Hertz on the next block that was very helpful, but I would be interested in knowing how all of the people with flights got to the airport. I would expect a 4 star hotel to come up with a better solution, such as a shuttle, for this problem. The strike ended up lasting for several days so hopefully they finally thought of something.
