We stayed here 2 nights when on our 3-week Argentina/Chile trip with Adventures Abroad. Our room was nice with a good view. The price to be paid for staying at this hotel is a longish walk into town down hill and back. We are walkers so it was no problem, it was for others in our group. The manager was totally inefficient, bringing luggage to the room after checking in a guest rather than checking everyone in and then bringing up luggage. There were no elevators so many in our group brought their own luggage up. Our first evening we bought wine at the bar and the next night tried to pay for it. Before we left we again tried to pay for it. It was only when we were on the bus to leave that the manager told our tour guide about our bill and my husband was able to settle up. In summary: good views from room, lovely hotel, totally inept service.

We booked our one week stay based on past reviews. We were not disappointed. The room was wonderful - clean, spacious, modern and very quiet with a terrific view. We stayed in room 201 - one of four rooms with balconies (unfortunately, no chairs on balcony).

The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the Centre and 5-10 minutes from a large number of restaurants. However, the walk is uphill but there are plenty of inexpensive taxis if you are not physically active.

While the included continental breakfasts were simple (very typical of Argentina), there was always fruit, cereal, orange juice, coffee/tea, croissants and toast. With the view, a wonderful way to start the day.

Our hosts were very charming and always very helpful with hiking tips, places to dine, calling taxis, etc.

All in all a 5 star stay for a very reasonable price. The highlight of our trip to Argentina.

We read the great reviews about the View hotel and booked based on its great location (near the town square) and views of the lake. As it turns out, the best part of our stay was without a doubt the amazing service that Alejandro and Ignacio provided! From restaurant suggestions, to making calls for cabs, to arranging excursions, they went far above and beyond any other hotel we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Argentina. Aside from the service, the hotel is very new and well maintained, with amazing views of the lake. We would love to have the chance to stay here again!

I really can't say enough about the View hotel. The views of the lake and the mountains alone say it all though the icing on the cake was definitely the incredible team of Ignacio and Alejandro. They seriously went above and beyond to help plan excursions, recommend restaurants and outings and make you feel truly at home. The rooms were spacious, had amazing views and a great rain shower. The hotel is rather new, which was definitely a bonus, and is perched on a hill with unobstructed views and a short walk to the center of town. I honestly can't recommend this hotel enough and hope to have the opportunity to return! You won't go wrong if you stay at the View.
