We are a family with 2 children, age 10 and 13. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nigths in the beginning of our Salta-trip and 1 one night in the end of our trip in the region. The Posada Del Marques is a good hotel with a very good location. Close to the center of the town. The rooms are OK, but the aircondition is noisy and you are not able to controle it yourself. We felt that the beds were a bit clammy. The breakfast is simple. The staff are helpfull, but the guy in the weekens didn't speak english. We would stay there again for a nigth or two, but not for a week.

We stayed at Posada Del Marques for one night when we arrived in Salta and then for another night a few days before heading up to Tilcara. It is a good clean centrally located hotel which seems to have been modernised recently. The central square and MAAM museum is less than 10 mins walk away. Our room had everything we needed for a one night stay including a decent bathroom with lots of hot water for the shower. Breakfast was a help yourself selection form a well stocked buffet. One minor gripe was the lack of an air conditioning control in the room - it seemed as if the air conditioning was controlled centrally and ran for most of the night which made it difficult for me to sleep. There is a very good restaurant 5 mins away the Dona Salta which served good food. Summary if you want to stay in downtown Salta the Posada Del Marques is a good option. Later we stayed at Casa Hernandez which is in San Lorenzo just outside town and we much preferred this to Posada Del Marques but we were further away from the nightlife in down town Salta.

Nice hotel, good beds, big rooms, nice breakfast, near the centre of Salta, Excellent and very friendly service!!!!

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Salta. It was close to the main square and very clean. The room was pretty basic, but we were not looking for any thing fancy. The staff was very friendly and willingly put up with our inability to speak Spanish. The breakfast was the standard fare with coffee, oj, toast and cereal. It was well worth the price and would would definitely stay there again.
