“totally loved this place”

This is a fantastic little place to stay whilst exploring the Falls. It is brilliant value for money, the staff are really helpful and the breakfast was a 10 out 10. Don't be put off by the location which is slightly out of town as you won't be missing much, the town isn't why you visit Iguazu. After a long day of trekking in the heat it's great to return to the pool.

“Very affordable with great hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

21 Oranges (old name Rio Tropic) was a great place to stay while my wife and I visited Iguazu Falls. The cabin style rooms were very clean and comfortable, no phone, no TV, just relaxation. Remy, the owner, was so nice and helpful; he took his time to tell us all about the falls and how best to go about seeing them over two days. He also told us all about the town and recommended where to go eat, transportation, buses, etc. He was extremely helpful! It is located a short bus ride from town or the falls. Bus stop is only 300 yards from the hotel.

“Great place, not the best location in iguazu”

The hotel is nice, clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast is good and the pool is a plus, especially after one day walking to see the falls. The location is not super convenient cause you need a taxi (25pesos one way) to go to the city to eat, or to catch the bus to the Brazilian side. To go to the closer local bus stop you need to walk 500m on a gravel road.

“Beautiful relaxing base to explore the waterfalls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Stayed three nights at Rio Tropic which is located approx 3 km outside of the touristy and somewhat soulless puerto iguazu to its benefit. Fantastic to come back from a hot day walking to dive into the pool and relax in the pretty and peaceful gardens. Spacious room, very clean, good breakfast and air con. Staff ordered us in pizza by the pool one night with a bottle of wine - very relaxed and decent pizza for argentina too! Other nights taxi into Puerto Iguazu was inexpensive. Friendly reception helped us organise all our trips and organised airport pick up. Would recommend taking the bus to the argentine side if you want to save some money - easier than you think and sooo much cheaper.

“Loved Parts Of It; Had Some Challenges”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

When we got to the Airport, the Taxi Drivers had no clue where '21 Oranges' was located. Either they are changing their name to or from "Rio Tropic." It is a beautiful, but rather remote location. Very peaceful at night, very clean. The rooms are not huge, but the beds are comfy and they provide beach towels in the room linens. Breakfast is heavenly and generous with gracious plenty coffee, bread, fruit, and yogurt. The pool is pretty, but with inadequate seating and shade. Two downsides: Number One, taxis to town run $6.00 US (25 AR pesos) - pricey for this area. Number Two, the bathrooms are an awful, messy combo toilet/sink/shower that resulted in a slippery floor, a wet toilet, and damp toilet paper.
