“Great little spot with lots of room”

we stayed here and really liked the place even though we were here for only one night. the rooms are nice and airy and if you have older children it would be perfect as the master bedroom is downstairs with the kids rooms upstairs. it has a lovely little courtyard which goes out to the pool (we were there in winter so didnt use it). its great easy walking distance to the good restuarants. they bought breakfast around to the room in the morning which was a nice selection of breads and pastries (typical argentina). they let us leave our bags there all day before we crossed the border into Brazil. a lovely little find.

“Unexpectedly Great... ;)”

Caño 14 Lodge was included in our Buenos Aires travel agent offer for visiting Iguazú Falls, on December 2008. We actually took a glance on this lodge's website just a few hours before leaving Buenos Aires direction to Puerto de Iguazú. The lodge actually consists of a block of similar three-floor flats (ground floor, attic and basement), with a separate entrance door as well as a backdoor leading to the lodge´s garden where you may find a small swimming pool.
Photos on the official website reflect reality.
Flats are spacious, comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, living room, two bathrooms (located in the basement) and 5 beds in a total (1 double and 1 single on the basement bedroom) and other 3 single beds on the attic. I think that our flat could afford even 6 or 7 persons.
The living room has comfortable couches and a modern TFT Television screen. Local channels where available as well as satellite ones.
There was no internet connection.
The lodge is situated at a 5 minutes walking distance from Puerto de Iguazú centre, where hotels, restaurants and supermarkets are located.
Local housekeeper was very kind and brought us a quite simple breakfast basket every morning. Of course our communication was exclusively in Spanish.
From the ground's floor small balcony you may stare part of the Iguazú jungle.
