Rooms and restaurant are awful. Restaurant staff is the least professional I've ever met.
Food is not bad, if you are patient and non pretentious, but they hardly bring to the table what you ordered, instead, what's left from the kitchen or from the barbecue 2 hours later.
The 2 rooms at the back of the restaurant are very simple and quite hot in summer. They change the towels every 2 days (if they don't miss it), no ammenities, poor lights, just one step above a basic camp site.
However, La Posta's location is excellent for oudoor activities which are so fabulous at Valle grande along the Atuel river; the doorby Kintun outdoor travel agency is very good.
the cottages around are much better than the rooms but they are of course much more expensive. There's a nice large garden around with 2 swimming pools and good tress for a midday shadow. It's usually fill up with families with children and youngters, but if you wanna share a room and save the difference to pay for any adventure activity it becomes interesting, there are many camp sites along the route and many other cottages nicer than La Posta's.
Trekking, horseback riding, canopy, cool river, rappel, rafting are all very well organized are extremely enjoyable. Do not miss the night rafting, even without full moon, the journey is delighful. San Rafael and Valle Grande deserve to become a top adeventure travel destination in Southamerica! Ahh !do not forget to step by one or two vineyards!
