“Lovely family with great hospitality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

We were a group of 4 and stayed here for 4 days - Adrian took us on Jeep excursions and shared with us his knowledge and love for this wonderful area which is close to the Andes. Sonia (his wife) fed us the most amazing home cooked meals and we also found time to play games with his 2 charming children. Guillermo took us on a wine tasting tour of 2 wineries - greta fun all round and we HIGHLY recommend this place. Would love to go back!

“Perfect Location,perfect hosts,perfect,lodging.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2010

I found their flyer by mistake at a hostel in Mendoza last october. When I went to ask about it,Adrian was there at the hostel at the time.So I said to him I will be back next year.Six months later I was back.I stayed at Silvercord B and B for 4 days and nights.I went hiking twice with Guillermo which was fantastic and had a horse ride out of town with Daniel.Lying in the hammock in the morning sun,on the front patio, gazing up at the 5000m plus mountains closeby,is something I will always remember.
I had my own room with bathroom,so privacy was no issue, but only slept there as I wanted to soak up the local ambience.
Sonia was the perfect host as all the food is home cooked - like bread, muffins and croissants and this was just the breakfast each morning! Even with her limited english,Sonia made me feel very welcome as a part of their family for 4 days.To meet their friends (and 5 kids),one evening was amazing with the warmth and friendliness in the house, I saw how much family is so important in Argentina. To take in the atmosphere of village life in the mountains where I was the only tourist was an incredible experience in this little known place only 1 hour from Mendoza. This was at the start of my 2.5 week trip, but I thought every second day after, I wished I was back there.I missed the cooking, quiet, mountain air and the warmth of the family.I couldn't help to think how this is how life should be lived. I'd say it can be a life changing experience.
It would be nice to return some day.

At the foot of the silvercord andes, easy to go on a hiking adventure or just enjoy the weather and the views at a warm & hospitable B&B with homemade meals.

“Home away from Home - good food, good wine and good fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2009

We spent 11 fantastic days at Silver Cord B&B. Adrian and Sonia and their family are very welcoming and warm hosts, and were very keen to ensure we had an enjoyable time. We were even included in the Christmas celebrations which was very special when you are away from your own family. As mentioned by other reviewers one of the highlights was Sonia´s cooking which is fantatsic. The location is beautiful, the garden is great for relaxing in and has wonderful views of the mountain.
We also thouroughly enjoyed our excursions with Adrian including the Dakar day, our horse ride and trekking to 3500 metres. We were impressed with the wildlife we saw including guanaco, condors every day and many other bird species.
We highly reccommend Silver Cord B&B

“A Great Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2009

Myself and 2 buddies spent 1 night and 2 days at the Silvercord B&B.
Adrian was an excellent guide who was determined to get us a birds eye view of the Condors. We were not dissapointed. The adventure day was so enjoyable , we tried it again on the 2nd day on the other side with even more spectacular views.

I would highly recommend staying here as both Adrian and Sonya were great hosts with fine food on offer too.
