“Big no no”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

I am not going to comment on the fact that I had a reservation that said I would arrive after 2am and that was canceled for whatever reason it was. This could have happened anywhere. What irritated me the most was the fact that I felt completely fooled once I got to my room. The pictures displayed in hostelworld does not reflect the reality of this hostel. Sure the staff is kind but the place is dirty, the bathroom, with its pink tiles, is a joke (again, nothing to do with the pictures I saw), my room had infiltrations and the smell of mould was all over. We had booked for 4 days but only stayed for one night literally (from 5am to noon). Do yourself a favour: go somewhere else.

“Friendly staff but overpriced for what it is”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

Hostel was clean and friendly enough and in a good location a few blocks from town. But although it was far from full the common room was noisy until about 1am most nights during our stay. We felt that 120ARG per night was too much (for a double room with shared bathroom) and, after a few days, moved to the HI hostel in Cordoba, where there was a better equipped kitchen and we paid about 85ARG a night.

“Very Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2010

We were looked after superbly during our 3 night stay in Cordoba. The owners/staff made sure that we knew all the best places to go, how to get there and answered our questions on prices etc. We stayed in a double room on the first floor which was very comfortable and quiet even though the common room was only on the other side of the wall. The location is excellent and within easy reach of the central area, about 1km from the bus station. Highly recommended!!

P.S Make sure you take the 1hr bus ride to Alta Gracia, a beautiful town and the growing up place of Che Guavara

“Great place, great people!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 May 2010

Very mellow, welcoming place. Great showers! Hot and with great water pressure! We also appreciated the quiet courtyard-facing room and had a very relaxing night's sleep. Maty (the owner) was incredibly hospitable and helpful to us in terms of figuring out our next step and where to stay when we travelled on from Cordoba. Communal Sunday night dinner on the roof was an unexpected delight and a great chance to talk to other travellers and the staff (altho we didn't feel pressured to come to dinner at all if you are looking for a more independent experience). I also really appreciated the fact that coffee, tea, and mate were all available free to guests and that the coffee wasn't instant but instead real, actual coffee with an actual coffee percolator -- awesome. We only stayed one night, unfortunately, but Hostel Art was a really good place for our group and we were definitely made to feel at home by everyone who was there. And the tiny fishpond really rocked my world as well. Thanks for the great stay!

“GREAT HOSTEL! - relaxed atmoshphere & friendly owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2010

Hi,

We stayed for four nights in cordoba at Hostel Art, we had a great time there! It is a very relaxed place. The owners are VERY helpful & they are easy on the rules. You can have a room when you come in 4 hours early without a problem (so good after a long bustrip from mendoza...).
For tips in the town about going out & eating they are the best! They know the cultural hotspots in town.
