We stayed at Legado Mitico on honeymoon in November.

It's a great choice for a stay in Buenos Aires - the Palermo district is very relaxed and full of excellent restaurants and bars. At the same time it is in walking distance of many of the main tourist sights.

We were given the Hero suite, which was a decent size (I would not say large though), well furnished and overlooked Gurruchaga road.

Breakfast was ok (my wife thought it was great), but there is no restaurant per se. In terms of lunch/diner, there is a short room service option which was fine. However, if you are keen on having a restaurant within your hotel this is not the one for you. With all the options locally though, you wouldn't want to eat in.

The staff were hospitable and helpful with thoughtful recommendations.

My wife and I just spent a week in Argentina. We started our trip, at the recommendaiton of our daughter, in Buenos Aires at the Legado Mitico. It is a small boutique hotel in the Palermo neighborhood. Each room is dedicated to a signficant figure in Argentine history. The roooms were quite large, well furnished, very clear and very quiet. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. THey really helped plan our first few days in BA. They had a small lounge area which served a very nice breakfast. There is a small roof deck as well. The Palermo area is a bit "gritty" but very safe and interesting. Lots of neat shops and cafes.
This is a real gem.. a great place to stay and visit a fascinating city.

We stayed at The Legado Mitico for 3 nights before heading down to Ushuaia to board The Silver Explorer sailing out to Antarctica.Great atmosphere ..stayed in 'Evita' room.Fantastic staff..couldn't be better..very hospitable..even when we arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning.
In an interesting area(Palermo)with some excellent restaurants close by.Beautiful library/lounge
decorated in typical Argentinian style.
The only small criticism was breakfast ..not much variety ...although they did serve a mean double espresso!!

We stayed a total of 4 nights at Legado Mitico, in 2 separate sessions at the start and end of our trip to South America. Both rooms were well kept, well equipped, very interestingly and intelligently themed and extremely restful. The library area downstairs is very interesting and very comfortable, with free internet access available. There is a small patio/courtyard leading out from the library. Breakfast was very good, though perhaps limited by the relatively small size of the hotel. All the staff are extremely helpful, attentive and polite.

The overall impression is of a civilised, restful, helpful and professional hotel, difficult to fault in any way.
