I booked a room with private bathroom. As I got there, they tried to give me another thing: a terrible room without bath, window, or tv. I complained to the front desk. They blamed "overbooking issues", offered me a free dinner, and said they couldn't do anything else. The manager wouldn't even show up to talk to me.

I had made my reservation 3 months in advance, paid a 10% booking fee, and confirmed my stay 20 days before the trip. But I had to find another place to stay. As you can imagine, it was quite difficult (because the city was filled with tourists).

We stayed here for 2 6-week spells, stayed in most of the rooms, including a very spacious double with a big window onto the garden and loved it.

The food is good and reasonable, the drink is ok priced as well. The kitchen isn't great as they encourage you to eat in the bar, but it's just about workable, and there are plenty of very cheap options around anyway. eg Pizza place round the corner, and the deli on the other corner, which is fabulous.

They do offers for long stays and stuff, and if you check the website for specials and stuff it's a good idea as they don't necessarily mention them unless you ask.

Staff on the whole speak good english and are friendly.

The cleaners are great and work from 7am till about 7pm every day bar sunday i think, so the place is ultra clean. They also help with keeping your stuff secure as there's always someone around.

A good choice if you're not the type to go to some of the more party hostels up the road, tho it can occasionally be loud if there's an event on in the bar, it's pretty quiet most of the time.

The breakfast isn't bad either.
