“Excellent”

We stayed at the Duque during January 2012 and can honestly say that the hotel and particularly the staff were excellent. We would not covsider staying anywhwere else for future visits to Buenos Aires. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and their enthusism was evident at all times.

Another bonus is that it is only four blocks away from Don Julios - probably the best steak restaurant in BA.

Do yourself a favour and stay here - you won't regret it.

“We'll be back”

Last December, we spent some days in Buenos Aires. Travel Agent organised this hotel and their selection couldn't be faulted. Hotel is not big but it was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff. The good breakfast sets you up for the day. The hotel is not in the centre but is a 5 minute walk to the nearest "Subte" (subway) and then its only 10 or so to the centre. While staying at Duque, go to a nearby (5 minute walk) restaurant (Don Julio) for steaks. This was the best restaurant we found in Buenos Aires. Advisable to book at weekends.

“Adorable Boutique Hotel”

We stayed at Duque Hotel from Jan 28-30, 2012. The location is good, cheap taxi-ride from all the main attractions. It is very close to Palermo Soho shopping and dining. Also, there is a grocery store and pharmacy nearby. As for the hotel itself, it is wonderful. The (English-speaking) staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and big enough, and the shower has a nice strong water pressure. What I think sets this hotel apart though, is its common areas. There is a computer area with free internet for guests. There is a kitchen/bar/breakfast area that opens up to the garden and pool area. Breakfast itself wasn't too varied (pastries, fruits, omlets, cold cuts), but the nice thing is that they leave the left-over pastries out for snacking throughout the day, which is great after a long walk in Buenos Aires. There is an adorable garden and pool with seating area and a hammock. Hotel also has a spa area (jacuzzi etc), but we did not have a chance to visit it. They also have an option to rent bicycles. All in all it was a great stay, although too short -- you do need at least 3-4 days in this large and interesting city!

“Cute Family style boutique away from bustle and hustle”

They arranged for picking us up from the airport ( at our expense). It was very helpful. If anyone is looking for a big chain hotel this is not the one. Elevator is small but adequate. Good breakfast in the morning with your requests for eggs any style and fruits. Gave us all the information to walk and see the different neighborhoods. Barbara suggested a restaurant called don Julio for steak. This restaurant was better than all the other top restaurants on trip advisor list. Best steak and very friendly local restaurant. I advise anyone to try out this one. Just three blocks from the hotel.

Room Tip: Our room was # 1. Overlooking the main street. We were out all day and therefore did not matter whic...

“Great Boutique Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We recently spent 2 nights at Duque Hotel after arriving in Buenos Aries from a cruise. They arranged for us to be picked up at the cruise terminal and taken to the hotel. While the room we had was small it was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. It was a superior room and did not look out onto the street. The hotel has a lovely coutyard with a small pool and comfortable seating. The thing that makes this hotel stand out above others is its fabulous service and friendly ever helpful (English speaking) staff. They arranged dinner reservations and a Tango show for us. They also made suggestions as to where to shop. The hotel is in a very nice area of Buenos Aries and only a short taxi ride downtown.

Room Tip: I would ask for a deluxe room that has an outside view.
