“Absolutely fabulous”

Stayed here (on my own!), for a week in the middle of September. Can't praise it enough. There is nothing about it that I didn't like, I cannot fault it in anyway. From the moment of arriving in the very small hours of the morning, I was greeted with warm smiley faces. Cases were swiftly taken to my room, wow what a surprise. So spacious and the balcony ... huge with a stuning sea view. Food was superb with so much to choose from. The whole resort was extremely clean and tidy. Rooms were cleaned everyday, nothing was too much trouble. The only small downfall was there was no beach as such; four, maybe five sunbeds and it was full. But compared to everything else that is nothing. I could go on but don't want to bore you. Just go, you have to, and find out for yourself. I will definately be returning.

“Great complex right on the sea”

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 weeks at the beginning of September. We stayed in a standard double and I must say I was very pleased with the size and clean decor of the room. The views from the window/balcony were beautiful. The room is cleaned daily and linen changed every few days.
The complex is attractive, the beach is very small but there is plenty of decking that runs out over the sea, so idea for swimming and snorkeling. There are a choice of restaurants for dining, the buffet restaurant has a huge variety of food (catering well for vegetarians) it was all very fresh and tasty although I was not impressed with the deserts (nobody does deserts like the British!
The spa is very nice, we went there most afternoons and also paid for a very vigorous Turkish massage.
Although the hotel is set alone and about 3km from the town of Yalikavak the walk is easygoing and follows the waterfront.
We used the services of the concierge to hire a car, and although we were very glad we had the car the concierge was not at all helpful and seemed ill informed. All other staff were very friendly and polite.
I would definitely recommend the hotel, however if you are looking for a lively alcohol fuelled holiday you would be better to go to a different resort.

“Loved it...loved it...loved it”

This was my 2nd time at Delta beach. I travelled with 2 of my sisters and a few friends. 6 of us in all. We all had a fab time. Food great and the staff excellent. I dont understand people who fault this place or food. I went diving with Murat and had 2 great dives. He gives free trials for those wanting to try it out. You will be in good hands.. He is a very competent instructor and brilliant to dive with. I believe he is going to be back next year.

For those skin flints who never leave the complex, take a strolll into Yallikavak and eat in a restaurant in the towm. I recommend Kosedes (Saffron Chicken is to die for). Also good craic to be had ad Dedes and Bar 9.

Room Tip: I wouldn't recommend the rooms that look out onto the restaurant terrace. Not much privacy.

“Nice hotel, but not 5 star!”

We have just got back from a 10 night all inclusive stay at Delta Beach Resort. On arrival, we were told by our Thomas Cook rep to go straight up to the desk and we will be checked in. Expecting to be greeted with at least a "hello", we were given a piece of paper and simply told to "fill it in". Nothing was explained to us about what we were filling in, and when it was done the lady at reception took it off us and walked away. We waited, guessing somebody was going to give us a key which they eventually did and we were then led to our room by a very helpful porter who answered all of our questions. Our room was lovely, a standard room with a sea view and no complaints at all. After exploring the resort, we were very impressed with the place and could not wait for the rest of the holiday. The bars on the resort were good, especially the lobby bar, you could not find a friendlier and more welcoming member of staff anywhere else, he made our stay enjoyable and treated us as though you would expect to be treated in a 5 star hotel. The main buffet restaurant seemed good at first, but make sure you take some shoes with a good grip on them as the floors are very slippy. The food was a little bit repetitive, and as a bit of a picky eater i sometimes struggled for choice, but thats just me. The food went downhill when we realised we were about to eat raw chicken, since that moment we always checked our food to which on more than one occasion it was raw. There may have been plenty of other things to choose from but this is not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. On the other hand, we paid the extra 5 euros each to eat in the italian restaurant, it is a set 7 course meal which was very nice and the waiter was lovely, maybe it is worth paying this so you know you are getting cooked food? There were always plenty of sun loungers at the resort, there was no rushing down early in the morning to make sure you got a place. The walk into Yalikivak took us a good 30 minutes, there was a few bars and restaurants and a few small shops, nothing much else except there was a lovely harbour with sea views. As a 5 star hotel, we thought we were going to enjoy it a lot more than we did. I would say that if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun and you dont really want to go anywhere, then this place is perfect as long as you arent a fussy eater! For us, the service we received off some members of staff and the food let it down, and i think we can say we wont be returning anytime soon.

Room Tip: A sea view room is nice, and choose a room away from the main stage as it gets a bit loud and repeta...
