We were on a 4 night trip to Yalikavak having visited the report for an hour the year earlier. We reserached long and hard to find a decent hotel that was good value, but also offered something extra. I am not sure how we found upon this hotel, but to be honest the visit was mixed.
Arrival was fine with the hotel employee (there were two a host and a cleaner) meeting us and showing us to our room. At £70 a night or so it was not cheap by Turkey standards so the room was not quite up to the standard I would expect. OK, but basic. No carpets on the floors, just a bed.........
The hotel was very quiet. Indeed items were being packed away as we were lounging by the pool. Not ideal, however the pool area was stunning! The pool was excellent and furnished with what seemed like antique items. Indeed, the whole hotel was full of lovely "oddments" that I understand had been acquired by the owner over the years. It was lovely.
Breakfast was excellent, although exacetly the same for each of the four nights. I would have appreciated some choice and options. Unfortunately, when we asked for lunch one day the owner responsed with hands in the air "Nothing". Hmmmm, although a beer was forthcoming when later in the evening a vodka was requested again we got a "sorry".
To sum up, hotel was lovely, but there was no-one there when we stayed (Mid September) and the hotel seemed to be shutting up around us!! I was disappointed no lunch or drinks were available, and we left happy of the calm pool area and location, but sad that the owner did not offer us more in terms of hospitality.
Happy to answer any questions.
