“Best Hotel İn Yalikavak”

We found this holiday through our travel agent and we will def be re-visiting in the future. The staff couldn't have been nicer & more helpful. The location was ideal & the nicest restaurant we have ever been (& I am a fussy eater). Over all the best family holiday we have ever had we know several people who have been on our recommendation.
We will def going back to taşkule hotel....

“Overall excellent value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

A few steps from the beach, the rooms were spotless and well maintained with daily maid service. Staff were superb. We stayed with our daughter and her husband in adjoining rooms though none have balconies. Our a/c didn't work on arrival but was changed promptly 1st thing next morning. We locked ourselves out of the room (twice)and our safe (once) but all was dealt with swiftly, with a smile and without fuss. They also allowed us all to use the office pc to book our onward flights etc and provided transfers to the airport for the same cost as local cab. Even got up to see us off at 6.30am!
Ample Turkish breakfast served up to 11am on terrace overlooking the sea and good choice of local restaurants to suit all pockets, some even on the beach.
A few caveats: the Taskule clears its own beachof sunbeds at about 5.30 pm to put out dining tables which is a pain if you want to linger and watch the sun go down -means you have to upsticks to neighbouring hotels' beds. Also Saturday and Sunday they hosted 2 weddings which meant again we had to decamp to neighbouring hotel's beds which was fine but annoying.
This was our third trip to Yalikavak over last 6 years, though not to this hotel. Noticably far more Brits here than even 2 years ago which is starting to distract from its erstwhile distinctly Turkish charm and, unfortunately, the sea was also dirtier than in previous years with quite a lot of plastic detritus washing up on a couple of days depending on the tide.
Overall though still a very relaxing, value for money trip.

“If you want to relax, have fun and meet fantastic staff, this is the place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

An unexpected start to our holiday meant that we had to find very quickly a hotel for 2 weeks which was not easy in peak season on the Bodrum peninsula. However after checking many hotels by phone and foot, we happened upon this haven called Taskule.
With the help of Alex (the restaurant & bar owner) and the manager we got a great deal and a fabulous room. The mattress was a tad firm for our liking, but we regret not saying anything at the start of the holiday because we came to realise the staff will do everything to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
The food at Sofi's is fantastic and the best in Yalikavak - review to be added to that separately.
The staff specifically for the hotel are very attentive and Bilal the owner always checked we were happy. It is a boutique hotel with 17 rooms and the staff are very aware of the customers who are staying and will address any requests you may have.
I was initially worried about the childrens play area next door to the hotel, but you don't hear a thing. Hotels along this stretch of Yalikavak don't have the large spas and fitness centres, as this is a place where you get out and about. Taskule provides a comfortable and basic provision. The hotel is right in front of the beach, with windsurfing just 150m away.
If we didn't have our own apartment I would come back to stay here every year, it is home from home. Having Sofi's bar and restaurant attached to the hotel just makes the experience 10 times better because the staff make your stay unforgettable due to their amazing hospitality and unlimited kindness.
Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay so memorable.

“A great pick”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

We have stayed 5 nights (July30-Aug4) at the Taskule Hotel. We picked the hotel by looking at the information on the internet. It was a great pick as we enjoyed both the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. The room was very well-decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and the waiter Mustafa was always attentive and kind. We will certainly stay there again.

“Such a nice surprise.”

This was the second hotel we stayed in on our recent trip to Turkey. Originally booked into another hotel (review to come) we had to move and happened across the owner sunning himself outside the hotel. After a brief chat and a guided tour we up and left the first hotel and moved straight into a fabulous sea view room right on the beach. The room was lovely and nicely decorated. Walking distance to all the amenities Yalikavak has to offer and a nice bar to welcome you after a hard day's sightseeing. :)
Not an expensive hotel by any means, but on par or better with some of the more up-market hotels we've stayed in.
Also worth a mention is Yalikavak it'self - a very nice surprise. It has it's tourist shops etc... but also a lovely cosy feel to it and very friendly locals and fantastic restaurants.
The only possible negative was the children's amusement centre getting ready to open next door for the summer season but I would imagine that wouldn't stay open too late and you could always request a room further away.
Value for money 10/10 We will definitely go back :)
