“If you want to relax, have fun and meet fantastic staff, this is the place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

An unexpected start to our holiday meant that we had to find very quickly a hotel for 2 weeks which was not easy in peak season on the Bodrum peninsula. However after checking many hotels by phone and foot, we happened upon this haven called Taskule.
With the help of Alex (the restaurant & bar owner) and the manager we got a great deal and a fabulous room. The mattress was a tad firm for our liking, but we regret not saying anything at the start of the holiday because we came to realise the staff will do everything to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
The food at Sofi's is fantastic and the best in Yalikavak - review to be added to that separately.
The staff specifically for the hotel are very attentive and Bilal the owner always checked we were happy. It is a boutique hotel with 17 rooms and the staff are very aware of the customers who are staying and will address any requests you may have.
I was initially worried about the childrens play area next door to the hotel, but you don't hear a thing. Hotels along this stretch of Yalikavak don't have the large spas and fitness centres, as this is a place where you get out and about. Taskule provides a comfortable and basic provision. The hotel is right in front of the beach, with windsurfing just 150m away.
If we didn't have our own apartment I would come back to stay here every year, it is home from home. Having Sofi's bar and restaurant attached to the hotel just makes the experience 10 times better because the staff make your stay unforgettable due to their amazing hospitality and unlimited kindness.
Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay so memorable.

“A great pick”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

We have stayed 5 nights (July30-Aug4) at the Taskule Hotel. We picked the hotel by looking at the information on the internet. It was a great pick as we enjoyed both the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. The room was very well-decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and the waiter Mustafa was always attentive and kind. We will certainly stay there again.

“Such a nice surprise.”

This was the second hotel we stayed in on our recent trip to Turkey. Originally booked into another hotel (review to come) we had to move and happened across the owner sunning himself outside the hotel. After a brief chat and a guided tour we up and left the first hotel and moved straight into a fabulous sea view room right on the beach. The room was lovely and nicely decorated. Walking distance to all the amenities Yalikavak has to offer and a nice bar to welcome you after a hard day's sightseeing. :)
Not an expensive hotel by any means, but on par or better with some of the more up-market hotels we've stayed in.
Also worth a mention is Yalikavak it'self - a very nice surprise. It has it's tourist shops etc... but also a lovely cosy feel to it and very friendly locals and fantastic restaurants.
The only possible negative was the children's amusement centre getting ready to open next door for the summer season but I would imagine that wouldn't stay open too late and you could always request a room further away.
Value for money 10/10 We will definitely go back :)

“Excellent Hotel - One of the best in Yalikavak”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2009

We have just had a 7 night stay at the 'Excellent' Taskule hotel in Yalikavak.
The staff could not have been more frienly, and we will definatly look to stay here again on our next visit.
As professionals from the airline industry we stay in fine hotels all over the world and expect a very high standard, this one is of a very high standard and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high standard of comfort.
I especialy enjoyed sitting outiside the hotel on the sofas with a cool drink wantching the sun go down over the sea.
Please ignore any of the negative reviews about the staff, this hotel is exceptionaly friendly and they could not do enough for myself my wife and my 2 year old Georgina.
The only one comment I would make for improvement is that the stairways could do with better railings to the front upstairs 2 delux rooms as it is not that child friendly (If you are taking your child ask for a downstairs room, our was 102 which was ideal).
Thank you to the staff for an excellent stay.

“Wish we were there now!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2009

This past June, our family of four stayed at the Taskule Hotel in Yalikavak. This was our 2nd trip to this area (and Turkey) in 15 yrs. Oh -- so many changes!! We decided to stay in Yalikavak because we were aware of how developed Bodrum had become since our last visit. Yalikavak is a beautiful and low-key resort town. We had originally booked another hotel, but was disappointed by its location. Luckily, the Taskule had availability as the "season"had not yet begun. The location is perfect. -- directly across from the beach and close to several restaurants. The hotel is beautifully maintained and spotless. The design is clean and contemporary. The pool was clear and clean. Breakfast was generous -- typical Turkish fare w/ eggs cooked to your liking. Best of all, the owner, Julia, is extremely delightful, interesting, and well-traveled. She is also a wonderful source for local information. Kudos to the staff as well. They were not only attentive, but personable as well. They are a fun bunch! We stayed in a very comfortable poolside suite (actually, the only poolside suite). The suite had all the amenitites, including a fabulous bathroom w/ sauna and multi-jet shower w/ steam! (Americans are very fond of their bathrooms!! :) ) Very tastefully decorated. My girls (ages 12 yrs and 5 yrs) loved the room -- especially the hi-tech shower and its poolside location! We had some problems with the air conditioning and although the new closet doors looked nice, they were ill-fitted. However, compared to our overall experience at the Taskule, we found these problems to be minor AND I am confident that all has been resolved. We loved our stay at the Taskule and Yalikavak. Thank you, Julia and staff for a very memorable visit!
