“great food great value”

stayed at many hotels in Olu Deniz over the years and all have been ok but this hotel stands out from the rest.
It's location is perfect just 100yds from the beach and a quiet setting. What stood out most was the food the menu was good, the portions were large and the quality was superb. All in all I think it represents the best value for money in the area. Even if you are not staying at the "Blue Star" please eat there and see for yourselves.

“A gem!”

Although I have eaten at the Blue Star before, I had never stayed there until this September. I had a bit of a 'false start' as they didn't give me the room I'd asked for, and was given a basement room instead, however, after three days, they helped me move all my belongings over to a first floor balcony room, which was lovely. I wouldn't recommend a basement room because you have to have your curtains pulled when the lights are on, otherwise people walking past can see in. Also of course, you don't have a view, and if like me you're given the one opposite the end of another block, all you can see is a wall!

I can't think of any other downsides to the Blue Star apart from the internet being VERY slow! In fact so slow that I didn't bother after the first try. The staff are all very willing and friendly, and a special mention needs to be made of Osman and George in the restaurant, and Zumrut on reception. However, a few have left now (Osman, Zumrut and Ardana) so the dynamics will have changed by the time I go back next May. I'm sure whoever they find to replace them will be lovely too.

The food is excellent, and you get very large portions! Everything is very clean, and the hotel is very near the beach and the shopping area. There are even a couple of small supermarkets just over the road where you can buy the bottles of water that you're not meant to smuggle into the hotel....... :-D

All I can say is - roll on next May!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a balcony room.

“Clean, friendly and close to beach”

22 of us had a week here and everybody enjoyed it. We are all modern jive dancers and the staff could no have been more friendly and helpful. They cleared an area in the bar every night to give us room to dance. We had a lot of laughs and it made our week just perfect. Breakfast was plentiful eggs, tomatoes, cheese and fresh bread. Pool was immaculate. Sunbeds comfortable. Rooms clean with aircon and fridge. We would recommend this hotel.

“A very warm welcome”

I stayed at the Blue Star for 10 nights and found all the staff friednly and welcoming, the atmosphere very laid back and relaxing and the food in the restaurant very good. The location is great - just metres from the seafront and a bit quieter than some other locations. I will go back and stay there again!

“Well run Turkish hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

The Blue Star is a well run hotel in the centre of Oludeniz. We stayed Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast was continental with a good range of cheese, meats and fruit. We were told by many regular visitors to the resort, that the restaurant was one of the best and we would agree. They do a good range of local dishes as well as a few standards for the Brits.
The plain, but well designed rooms were cleaned every day by friendly staff.
There was a good mix of visitors. 1st week ~ 60% Brits with the rest a mix of Turks, Europeans and a few from further afield. 2nd week it was >50% Turks. The mix probably helped the quality of food served in the restaurant as a lot of the Turks ate there every night.
Very beautiful resort, with something for everyone - hard to fault. (Noisy Brit bars the worst thing)

Room Tip: Ask for upper rooms as there are basements. this seems the norm here.
