Warning! Nowhere on this hotel's website (though I use the term 'hotel' loosely) do they warn you that every Saturday night the main courtyard becomes a nightclub. We awoke, disorientated, at midnight to a thumping drum-and-bass beat. When we called reception to find out what was going on, the reception clerk was thoroughly unhelpful. Thankfully we spoke Turkish (none of the staff speak good English) so we were able to remonstrate with the clerk, but he was either unwilling or unable to help us. Despite assuring us that the music would stop at 01.30am, it continued until 02.00am. The whole situation was made much worse by our particular situation (we were using the hotel as an overnight stop before heading off for a 07.00am flight) but many other guests complained vociferously as well.
I imagine that - if one were able to sleep - this hotel would be acceptable. The bed was comfy, the room large and the restaurant adequate, with a good selection of Turkish and 'international' foods. Unfortunately, the bathroom was awful - old, with a leaky loo and a shower that flooded the floor. And they charged us for internet access as we were leaving - conveniently not telling us that they charged when we asked for the password.
