The Liwan hotel is a cute looking old building. It is very central.
Many rooms including ours faces the courtyard/terrace which is turned into the hotels restaurant. Our two windows faced this courtyard. Unfortunately they have turned the courtyard/terrace into a room and covered it with glass windows and they let people smoke during dinner. So the only air source of your room takes in cigarette smoke. It is a shame when you come in and need a good nights sleep and find your room under smoke. Also it is very noisy, again because of the restaurant space.
The staff is very nice and helpful however we found the transfers and the tours we asked for slightly overpriced.
