“Syllium hotel is now BLUE COLLECTION (other concept)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2010

I was in April in this wunderfull resort. it is renovated en very clean. there are 3 different types of rooms/hotels in this resort: the main building: the blue life, than the Mood residence, and the oriental style villas= the mood villas and rooms
2 relaxpools and one main pool with animation! i like the à la carte restaurants! were super!! and a very good animation team! with chef animator David! good show and dancers! also live music: the awesome John, and Magician Mike Late!
i had a good time up there, and like to go back!

Stayed April 2010, travelled solo

Please note that when I booked this hotel it was direct with Gold Trail agent over the telephone. I informed her that two of us were going to travel, gave her the dates, which resort of turkey we wanted and she recommend four different hotel. The Sillyum Hotel 2000 the telephone agent did recommend as she confirmed that they had not heard anything bad from any of the other customers that has stayed there!!! My partner and I arrived and our flights were from Gatwick which left on time and arrived on time. When we arrived at Antayla airport we were driven to our hotel a merc 6 seater van which had a LCD TV and seats were comfortable. When we arrived at the hotel at reception the member of staff there was limited on what English they could speak (through out the whole hotel most of the staff there spoke Russian or German as most of the other customers there too did). We were given a room a villas approx 5 - 10 minute walk to the main restaurant as our room was in villa (room 6201). There are plenty of pools to go swimming around and the beach is sanding but the water is refreshing. All the local drinks are inclusive but please bear in mind if you want the same brand drinks as the UK you will have to pay additional cost. The room had a lot of space, kept clean at all times as was the rest of the hotel; the mini fridge was kept full most of the time. The travel rep came to see us at the restaurant on the day we arrived and we booked two day/night trips out. One was the boat trip, we spent one hour walking around Antyala market (be careful we got lost and it’s not cheap there anymore in Turkey as a hole). The food on the boat trip was good and we get at least two hours off the boat to walk around swim in the sea. (My other half wasn't happy as we had no belly dancer but most of the other boats did!!) We also booked Turkish night which was cancelled twice and then when we did get a chance to go (we paid extra) rep informed us that it was a four course meal included only to find when we arrived 1 hour later (21:15) that the meal had finished I have to say not happy as the last time we ate was back at 14:00pm. The snack bar had good food but the main restaurant wasn't great and they do the same sort of food all day every day. All in all we as a couple and a few other British that were out there would rate this place as three star hotel. We really hope this review helps as we didn't find many. Thanks for reading.

“good standard with a lack of service”

I stayed there for one week and had a good time. The room was in the brand new villas behind the tennis court, which was a great place - but the cleaning ladys didn´t do their job from thursday till sunday. The complain about the missing toilet paper on saturday wasn´t sucessfull. I had to walk to the main building at 2:00 am, because I needed it....

They also mixed up my reservation and we had to stay the first night in an other room in the main building. They have a better view but the overall comfort is not as good as the rooms in the villas.

All meals are served as buffet, but they also offer two a la cart retaurants, which are not included in the all inclusive package. It was ok, but after a week I could stand the food anymore - no mix and no daily highlight. The dessert is a great cake buffet, hardly any ice cream or anything else.

The front desk made the impression to be not very effective, because they do not communicate with each other. Abdullah is the best - everything you deal with him works, great job!
