“Perfect fr Bachelors , Ok fr Couples , No fr elderly & royal people”

I was in Goa in Jan last month with 2 of my cousins. I got a good deal of this hotel, a room with extra bed fr 4days and 3 nites through Antilog Vacations. They give a good package deal fr Goa hotels generally including meals & airport transfers. The Hotel is about 4 km from the calangute beach, 2-3 from Baga; does have pick and drop service from them. There are lots of bike car renting shops around, which will charge you around 250-300 for a scooty or bike, and 1000 for a car.

The rooms are of a good size (12 by 12 at least) ,excellent shower clean and tidy. Live Music, drinks, shopping, delicious food, and above all, you need not worry to drive late in the night, or keeping the cab waiting for you. Buffet breakfast had a good selection also including popular Indian dishes. But there are also good food options around the Hotel which you can always try. There is a garden area (which our room overlooked) and a huge pool area which looked lovely. Do remember to book a pool facing room. There was an undercover games area with pool table, fusball table and ping pong.

The pool is lovely good for a chill out instead of the beach.Only thing to bear in mind is the drinks and food in the hotel are alot more expensive than out in the town, but with so much good places to go in the area, you dont need to use the hotel. There is also a casino, not very fancy though. There are other casino that have the same entry fee and better food at the same rates, try the Neo- majestic.

The best part about the hotel is there is hardly any fluctuation in the prices . Thus you can afford it even during December. Overall a nice place to stay.Limited options fr couples & absolutely nothing for old & those looking fr royalty

“Pathetic Staff - Hospitality for a toss”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I Organized & sponsored the trip for my Brother for his 1st anniversary to goa & unfortunately ended up booking this hotel. No doubt the property is good, but the people who work their takes hospitality for granted, I myself being a hotelier won't prefer writing this review globally but the staff at the hotel forced me to write this.

My brother & his wife had to wait 2 hours on the local railways station waiting for the car from the hotel for pick-up... after 8 hour long travelling from mumbai to Goa they have to wait out the station for 2 hours, however the stay was pleasant, at the time of check-out.. Their flight to Delhi was at 3:30 in noon & the front office staff started calling them since 10:30 in the morning that car is ready please clear the room, they called up around 8 times in an hour when they came to the lobby somehwere around 12:00 hustling.. they found that taxi was not ready & hotel took another half an hour to arrange a taxi for the drop to airport.... now in the hustle the forgot their mobile phone in room.. & they came back to hotel for collecting the same to hotel, Guess what hotel charged them for coming back half way to collect heir phone though transfers were included in the package booked... LADY DUTY MANAGER CLEARLY SAID "SIR, TRANSFERS WERE INCLUDED IN PACKAGE U CAME BACK 14KM EXTRA YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT, I DON'T CARE IF YOU WRITE A REVIEW ANYWHERE.. " I requested for a cake to be delivered to their room on their anniversary day THE CAKE NEVER DELIVERED TO THEM... no respect what so ever...Certainly this not the 5star hotel standards.. do not gift a stay to anyone atleast in here....

“Not wow but not bad either”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I was a guest speaker at a conference here in September. Goa was still pretty humid so wasn't too keen on it. The resort is not on a beach but about 5 minutes by car from Baga and Calangute and 10 minutes from Anjuna/Vagator or Candolim/Sinquerim. Arpora is becoming a popular tourist destination because of the Saturday night bazaar and the Mak's market which is just next to the hotel. (Alas I wasn't there on a Saturday but I get to visit Goa often enough)

Rooms: Need some work. I believe Hilton have taken over so should be good soon.

Service: Courteous and friendly staff even if they were a bit slow.

Pool: very nice but they shut it at 7 which I thought was unusual.

Food: Average. Suprisingly more non-Goan cuising than Goan. I guess most people eat at the Beach shacks.

Didn't visit the Casino so not sure how it is.

“Stayed here for New years eve 2012”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

The hotel is decent overall, but cant really be called a 5* luxury, We had organised a function here booking more than 60 rooms ab couple of yrs back and still got no preffered loyalty treatment when we stayed, even though we booked 5 rooms. The compulsory new years eve gala dinner was the biggest disappointment, it was a very very ordinary spread for 5000Rs/person, totally not worth it. They didnt even include water in this. The b'fast at the hotel is also mediocre, a la carte food is ok. They dint have enough towels and napkins and dint change our sheets and towels for 3 days.

“Not impressed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Im sorry to say its a poor review from me.

I thought overall the quality of the property was average at best definately over priced. The pool is okay but relatively small. Double rooms wernt a great side either although they were clean.

The staff were slow to respond and get anything done and I had numerous run ins with them over ongoing issues. They just didnt seem to have any idea what they were doing or more importantly how to manage the customers expectations.

Access to wifi was poor they provide an over priced service that can only be used in the Lobby of the hotel but if you have no privacy.

The buffet breakfast was a pretty poor standard.

There seems to be a price for everything at this hotel even things most quality hotels would provide for free.

The hotel feels far enough from the beach for it to be a bit of a hassle getting cabs back and forth.

I havent visited any other hotels in Goa but I certainly wouldnt return to this one.
