We booked a 10 day Garden route tour with Peter at Afrika Unique and were not disappointed when we went. Peter met us in Cape Town and took us on the most fantastic holiday we have ever had. We started by traveling to a small village called Franschoek to various vineyards and then to a delightful little guest house. He really knew his wines, and his recommendations were great. He then took us on an amazing journey, details of which are on his web site www.afrikaunique.co.za There were too many highlights to list, but the 4 game reserves stick out for their diversity of animals and accommodation. Samara Private Game Reserve really stood out for the sheer elegance of the place. This had been a late replacement from Peter, as the original reserve ( Mvubu Great River Fish Reserve) had a slight problem with it. We walked on the great plain on the top of the mountain to within 12 feet of 2 large male cheetah, picnicked overlooking the most spectacular scenery. and ate and slept in complete luxury.
A most trustworthy man who could not do enough for us on this trip. We have vowed to return as soon as possible with our 4 grown up daughters. Having previously been to Australia, we thought that holiday could not be topped, but this trip with Peter surpassed it and exceeded all our expectations.
