My mother and I had been on the road all day. As we found ourselves approaching Globe, we hoped for a town big enough to host a decent hotel or two. Upon entering Globe, we were delighted to spot a Days Inn that looked clean and quite nice. The front desk was friendly and helpful and my mother and I were given a large, clean room with two large, comfortable beds. The hotel was very quiet, and our room faced a nice greenbelt that sat below a clear, starry sky. In the morning we were greeted with a small continental breakfast that, thankfully, had a few healthy choices. When you’re on the road, in the middle of nowhere, sometimes the hotel selection can be a bit “iffy.” But we were quite pleased with the town of Globe and the nice little Days Inn that gave us a good night’s sleep.
I was checking in at hotel and front desk clerk melinda was checking me in, when the manager anme up to her and started yelling at her and telling her where to mput us in the room.. he stated youll have to come back at 3 pm... melinda said hang on a minitue i will be able to get you in earlier... the manager Ray started calling her names and he smelled real bad od sme kind of alchol...that i smelled it on the other side of hotel counter.. he was very un professional.. i just wanted everyonr to know.... the front desk clerk finally had to tell him to stop talking to her so she could get them checked in... i think you should consider replacing this manager...
This is a standard Days Inn and we found the rooms and bed perfectly acceptable. There is a microwave and fridge. All the front desk staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is much better than other Days Inns we have used recently, with fresh pastries, boiled eggs and do-it-yourself waffles. The free wi-fi is good. The only disadvantage is the location - although it is very convenient from the highway and quite near the historic downtown, the only facility that can be safely reached on foot is McDonald's; the road is too wide to cross safely, especially at night as the lighting is poor. (Of course, this is not the hotel's fault.) Overall, a good place to stop if you to spend time in or around Globe.
I was really disappointed with our stay here. It could have been really nice if they would invest just a little bit and buy better beds. We had 2 rooms, 3 beds and every bed was cheap and horrible. None of us slept. The bed is a very important factor for me when I stay in a hotel/motel. Why pay $75 to sleep on a worn out rock?
My husband and I were also amused by the door to our room. It had an inch, I am not making this up, a whole inch of space at the bottom where the light and air came in, with no weather stripping. We had to use one of our towels to seal it off.
The staff here are really nice and the location is right off the freeway and the rooms are sparkling clean but I will never stay here again.
