“Great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2010

When seeking accommodation in Talkeetna I was very fortunate to come across North Country B&B. The rooms are separate from the Owner's accommodation and provide total privacy. We were lucky to experience wonderful views of Mount McKinley whilst enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the lake.
Breakfast was served in a communal room and was more than adequate for our needs.
I would recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling in the Talkeetna area who is seeking a tranquil and peaceful experience.

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2010

Great little bed and breakfast. Rooms were neat and clean, and in a separate building, away from the owner's home. The rec room for guest use was a nice amenity. The owners were great and very helpful the day we left. The lake is beautiful. Unfortunately we did not get to see the magnificent view of Mt McKinley, but the pictures the owners have from their front yard are unbelievable. We would go back in a heart beat. LOVED IT!

“The most spectacular vacation I ever took”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2008

The B&B offers from the suite an unobstructed view across the lake at Mt. McKinley. The other rooms are all cozy and clean. The B&B is in a separate building, away from the owners residence.

Mike, the owner, is one of the best snowmobile rider in Alaska. We rode daily for many hours and had a blast.

I went back to the B&B during the summer months. The location is equally impressive with all the lush Alaskan summer vegetation.

It's off the main road between Anchorage and Fairbanks. But far enough back, no noise from the street can be heard. Peaceful and quiet. A one of a kind gem in Alaska.

“Made the right choice”

Where to stay in Trapper Creek? We chose North Country Bed & Breakfast, and were quite pleased. The accomodations there are separate from the host's home, and are essentially private motel/hotel rooms up one flight of stairs. Breakfast fare is served in a common room on the ground level. There is a beautiful lake, and we enjoyed a restful and restorative evening sitting by the lake as the host family built a fire for us in the firepit. Mt. McKinley is visible from the property, weather permitting. The physical separation from the main home ensures that niether host nor guest gets in each other's way. This B&B was easily accessed from the village of Trapper Creek. The host family were accomodating without getting in the guests' way. I highly recommend this lodging.
