After driving the Alaska Highway from IL to Anchorage in May 2011, my family and I were really impressed with this campground. It was $32 for electric only, $40 for electric and water hookups. Dump Station. Ate at the cafe (had limited pre-season menu) had the halibut and chips and a hamburger (both were excellent ; $15.95 and $12.95). In-season menu is not that much bigger but offers buffalo burger. They are known for their sourdough pancakes, an original recipe from the 20's. They also have reindeer sausage, which was really good. Had only 3 shower stalls and 3 toilet stalls so it gets busy quickly (it is unlocked 24/7 though). This was the FIRST and ONLY place in 4200 miles that included the showers in our price and were not coin operated. Has a singer 5 nights a week that also does karaoke (over 8000 songs). And they start a campfire and put marshmallows out for roasting (they provide sticks and marshmallows). They also have a pancake toss at 7pm (toss them into a bucket) for your chance to win a free breakfast buffet ($12.95) the next morning. It was quiet (quiet time was 10pm to 6am), surrounded by trees, a bike/walking path back to town and further from town, 4 wheeler trails attached to compund. Only 1.8 miles from Hwy 1 and Tok Cutoff junction. Would most definitely recommend to anyone going in and around Tok, AK.
