“Great - Would definately go back”

My daughter and I stayed at the Sahin Apartments for 2 weeks at the beginning of October 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment, which was in the main complex close to the reception, pool and restaurant area, was spacious and clean (2bedroom apartment) and perfectly adequate for our needs, however if a family were staying in the apartment there was not a lot of space for storing clothes.

One of the things that made the holiday so good was how friendly, helpful and fun all the staff were, nothing was too much for them, they were hardworking, polite and professional at all times no matter what - so a big thankyou to Samet, Omur, Murat, Ali and Duran.

The restaurant/snack bar was open from 8.00am till late serving from quite an extensive menu, with both English and Turkish food which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The pool bar was open from morning to very late and as long as a guest wanted a drink the bar would stay open till the early hours of the morning. Again thanks to Samet, Omur and Murat for some good evenings at the bar.

There are Turkish Baths next to the main pool area which are a must to go to - the "Hamman" treatment which consists of a sauna, cold shower, scrub down, massage and hairwash is a must. There are many other treatments on offer as well.

Dalyan is a beautiful place for a holiday, good restaurants, lots to see and do and we will definately go back and you can be sure we will be booking into the Sahin Apartment again - wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

“Value for Money”

Stayed at the Sahin in August - accommodation is of a good size, large living area which had a proper single bed (not a sofa put me up) plus a sofa. Good size bedroom & kitchen that was adequate. Balcony was small but adequate. Only downside was a lack of anywhere to put your clothes. The apartments are in 2 blocks both of which have swimming pools. The block we stayed in was across the road from the reception and was quiet. Though we had no problems getting a sun lounger it could become a problem when busier. We only ate at the restaurant at lunch times but found the choice good & reasonable priced. Staff were excellent as was the rep. There is a Turkish bath adjacent to the hotel which is a must. The walk into town isnt too far 10 -15 mins at the most. the waiters at the restaurants on route & in town will try to get you into theirs. We had my teenage daughter with us & after awhile their attention gets a bit much. Over all a great holiday would go back to Dalyan & the Sahin

Room Tip: The rooms in the block across from the reception are quieter

“Great Holiday”

Excellent apartments, clean, tidy, plenty of room, loads of hot water, great staff, the pool was also a good size and a good depth.
Only drawback is the food not much flavour, still it is amazing how inventive you can be with two rings and a couple of pans
Would return no problem particularly as we got it for a very good price
The town was ten minutes walk and three shops within five minutes walk

“A great choice for your stay in Dalyan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Sahin is a short 5 minute walk in distance from the local town of Dalyan and convenient place for families . We had a great time there and are just back after a 2 week break The staff at Sahin are ever so helpful and will go out of there way to ensure everything is to your requirements. Samet is at your service for food and drinks and is superb company Omar the manager is very helpful ensuring your specific needs are met day and night. Ali was great in showing the children magic tricks and Murat helped us with our travel arrangements for our departure when we mislaid the local telephone number he allowed us to call the UK to confirm details .We had room 205 which had a lovely view of the mountains behind the apartments and the children's room over looked the pool . When we had rain for a few days the children amused themselves with the back gammon set and played to there hearts content. We had many long chats with Omar about the history of Turkey and matters of the world what an interesting person he is. and also very wise Will miss all the staff at Sahin and hope we can remain in contact as friends for along time to come. Thanks to them we had a great holiday in Dalyan and would thoroughly recommend Sahin for your planned break in Turkey

Tip for those reading this If you want to book boat trips go to the side beside the school where you'll find many willing to take your own family privately We used a local called Vedant he was very reasonable 100 lira for the full days sailing up the lake and taking us to Kociegiz mud baths ...

Room Tip: When we went it was near the end of the season though still busy enough for company i enjoyed having...

“Adequate basic apartments”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

We stayed here for a week in the first week of September. The apartments are a very good size, with separate bedroom, shower room and living/kitchen area. There are 2 cooking rings and adequate utensils and pans for making a basic breakfast, which is all we did - though they do breakfast at their restaurant. Air conditioning is available at extra cost. We stayed on the reception side and they do play music at the pool area, which we didn't mind. There is a bar on this side which is open until the last person leaves. We did check out the pool on the other side of the road and there was no music on here and also the bar wasn't opened, so the residents on this side could drink their own drinks round the pool. The prices at the restaurant were cheaper than town, but we found the menu a bit limited, though what we did try was good (apart from the soup, which I think was out of a packet). Overall, the apartments reflected the price we paid and we had a great holiday in Dalyan. The accomodation is a bit shabby round the edges and I believe they plan on some decorating next year.

Room Tip: They play music on the reception side, so if you prefer it quieter then ask for a room on the other...
