This review also is about the beach hotel II.
We stayed at this place for 2 days.
The former review is correct in any point. But during our stay the hotel
was a construction site including that the restaurant was closed.
And of course there was no word about it when we booked it.

After arrival we wanted to clear that because if we knew before
we wouldn't have booked it.

Result was that we got 10% off which is like ... you know..
But for two days, especially at vacation, its not worth to get upset.

Other thing is, already we pay like 3400Rps a day you also have
to pay for the wifi.

Beside that everything else is nice. The location, the room, the service.

We stayed in the Beach Hotel II, which is the sister of the Beach Hotel; this review concerns the Beach Hotel II.
The hotel is excellently situated at the southern end of Lighthouse Beach, close enough to the restaurants to be convenient but slightly apart from the bustle that can be found at the centre of the beach. The service is first rate, nothing was too much for the staff, who kept the place running so smoothly, we found nothing to complain about. The quality of the food and our room were of an equally high standard.
We stayed in an A/C room, all of which are situated on the top floor, which provided an excellent view of the beach through the fronds on the coconut palms in front of the hotel.
The hotel does not have extensive facilities, but with the beach only ten metres or so from the front steps, this was not really a problem.
We took this holiday so that my wife could convalesce from a recent illness. The nature of the hotel and the resort proved to be exactly what the doctor ordered. Kovalam is not a secluded little fishing village, as it once was, it is a bustling resort, and picking the wrong accommodation could mean putting up with the occasionally negative aspects that come with that status. The Beach Hotel II really does offer the best of both worlds, due to its location, as well as its standards.
I would thoroughly recommend the place to anyone.
