As soon as my husband and I walked in the door, I said, "I could live here". We stayed in one of the one bedroom cottages, and it was perfect. The entire cottage is well built, and very spacious. The kitchen was large, and very well appointed. Jacqui left us home made bread, cookies, and jam, as well as some fresh fruit for our stay. The living room had a comfortable futon with a nice (&warm) fireplace. Upstairs was a cozy king size bed with two down comforters. We loved the fact that there was a half bath upstairs as well. It was nice to not have to go downstairs in an unfamiliar place in the middle of the night. Finally, the bathroom was very nice. It had a very large jetted tub & two headed shower, as well as a coin operated washer & dryer.
We loved that our cottage was in a wooded area, and although we did not get to see any wildlife, we had fun looking for moose every day. Beyond the cottages, we greatly enjoyed both Palmer and Wasilla. We visited Hatcher Pass/Independence Mine, as well. All are highly recommended.
Finally, Jacqui was very friendly and hospitable. She is very knowledgeable, so take advantage and ask her for advice!
