“Amazing Place w/ Great Hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2011

Trip here was amazing. We caught a ton of fish - big halibut and incredible Sockeye fishing. The sleeping arrangements are very comfortable and the food is excellent. We had a taste of regular Alaska lodging and this place - the Raspberry Island Lodge is hands down the best place to stay in Alaska. The flight in is really cool.

Make sure you do a Kayak or hiking tour, the guide Jameson is knowledgeable and knows what he's doing.

“The Best of Alaska”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2011

My husband and I have been fishing in Alaska for several years, always looking for that "perfect place". At Raspberry Island remote lodge, we found that and more! The lodge is warm and inviting, beautiful views with a comfy home atmosphere. I am known to be a good cook, Tiffany puts me to shame. The food is 5 star, served in the dinning room with everything homemade, including all breads, desserts and wonderful sauces.
We found the staff very professional and friendly. They all go out of thier way to make you feel special.
There are alot of things to do, but fishing was our goal, and it was great! I felt safe on the large boat with high rails. Not to mention the excellent gear to fish with. We had 4 in our party and we had the boat to ourselves, complete with Birch as guide and Eric as deck hand. Thank you Eric for all the hard work and help pulling up crab pots!!!
The cabins are rustic, clean and the beds are warm and cozy. Very comfortable.
With the water being calm, a wonderful lunch onboard, getting to know new friends, we all had a blast. Can't wait to go back.
Birch and Tiffany have the ultimate fishing lodge in Alaska!!

“Unbelievably Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2011

This was the absolute highlight of our Alaskan vacation. We spent 11 days in Alaska in July 2010 with time in Seward, Whittier, Anchorage and Denali before we arrived in Kodiak. We'd had such an awesome time already that Birch and Tiffany had their work cut out for them in regards to measuring up to our experiences already, bu they sure did! The lodge is amazing with a fabulous view. Bald eagles swoop by regularly especially after the daily catch is cleaned. The cabins are clean and comfortable but let's be honest, you don't come all that way to stay in the cabin. Birch arranged for us to go on a bear viewing excursion to Katmai the day we arrived on Kodiak which was breath taking to be so close to such an awesome animal. Then we flew to the lodge. The next day we all went ocean fishing and caught about 80lbs worth of Salmon and Halibut to take home. We threw out a crab pot in the morning and Tiffany prepared the dozen snow crab we caught which was so fresh it tasting. The next day my wife and I fished again with another couple staying at the resort while our kids relaxed at the lodge and my parents went sea kayaking. Again we caught another 40lbs of fish and everyone else had a great time with what they did. The food was amazing! Tiffany is a great cook and is eager to accommodate any request. We even took our 2 year old daughter who had a blast playing with their kids. I would highly recommend anyone to consider this part of their Alaskan vacation and we can't wait to make a return trip to Raspberry Island!

“A remote home form home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2010

The Remote Lodge has such a friendly and homely atmosphere that it like visiting close friends or family. The cabins were comfortable although ensuite showers would be an improvement. The Lodge was great and the food excellent. The combination of everything - the site, the fantastic welcome that lasted until we left, the activities especially the fishing, the food, the comfort - all made this an experience to be repeated.
